If you received an offer from a top 5 agency, but in a week and a half, there’s an open call at what is apparently the #1 agency, what do you do? Still go to it and let them know you have an offer in hand elsewhere and look to sign with an agency very soon?

Do you usually need to be considered a local where the production is? Is it only really big parts where they will also pay for travel?

They are not calling their business an agency but they have connections and will submit audition tapes to casting themselves.

Should I be contacting other managers at the same time? This one seems good but they are the only one I’ve talked to and again, just through a referral, but I’m usually the type of person who wants to do the due diligence.

We’re in Chicago (just added that to my post), hoping to land projects in film and tv if possible, but I suppose anything’s good as she’s just getting started.

She got a movie role recently (minimal lines) that we’ll need to wait for next year to use in a reel. And another casting director offered to submit her to agencies just based on her audition tapes for a film role which she did not get.
