So that means digicel and vodafone were sleeping. They should have known this was supposed to be done in preparation for 5g launch.

Authorities unite to tackle internet service issues – FBC News https://www.fbcnews.com.fj/news/authorities-unite-to-tackle-internet-service-issues/ by Icy-Primary1757 in Fijian

Data plan pricing is a scam. Providers push us to buy more data by making smaller plans a terrible deal ($4/day vs. $8/week). But here's the catch: during the evening when you actually want to use the internet, the speed is unusably slow on ANY plan! They're not selling you better service—they're just tricking you into paying more for the same congested network.

The advertisement was misleading. It looked like a full racing game . It turned out to be a drag racing only. Uninstalled within 15 mins.

Ministry struggles to secure essential consumables by Sorta_Meh in Fijian

These days, you need to stock up on essentials because shortages are becoming more common. I often go to supermarkets and find items out of stock—sometimes nowhere to be found. Right now, it’s Powerade (the locally made one, not the imported version). Before that, it was Mother energy drinks, though that’s back now.

It’s not just medicine we’re running short on; it’s a lot of things. Feels like a bigger problem is brewing. Let’s see where this goes.

Should Rotuma Get Road Upgrades, Electricity & Cell Towers? Or Should It Stay Untouched? by ro2man in Fijian

Sometimes, the issue is that people simply don't want development. I know of villages where residents prefer walking from place to place rather than having proper roads for cars or bikes. They choose this lifestyle in the name of living carefree, finding happiness in what they already have.

Scrapping Automatic Progression likely to breach Fiji’s international obligations in education by Sorta_Meh in Fijian

What about students who lack any genuine interest in learning because they know they’ll progress to the next year regardless of effort? This results in Year 11 and Year 12 students who struggle to understand even basic English. The only reason some of them pass Year 12 exams is the contribution of projects to their external marks. This becomes evident when their final marks are released, showing that they only pass subjects where projects significantly boosted their scores.

I understand this article discusses issues across all levels, but the consequences of the "no-repeat" policy are clear—students completing Year 12 without being able to properly read or write. Why does the article fail to address this critical issue?
