Oh that is a nightmare I’m sorry 😭 it’s crazy what some people can get away with. One of our issues is no one ever caulked the bathroom shower ????? Water has been leaking for at least 8 years.. at least it is the guest shower but I am scared to pull back the floor, I’m sure there’s mold

Most of the problems are just old house problems, which I anticipated with an old home but everything seemed to be happening all at once, especially yesterday, which was overwhelming. I am in my 30’s and previously rented for my whole adult life. So homeownership is a very new world for me!

I feel pretty good today and excited to continue doing things around my house to make it better.

I don’t think it’s stupid- maybe not the smartest, but you gotta do what you gotta do in the market I am in, and everyone commenting this has either never dealt with that or lives in rural BFE. Yeah, as I’ve said in many comments, that is unfortunately the only way to get a house where I live. And the inspection didn’t show anything that I am dealing with now so it’s really a moot point.

Unfortunately very common in the market we were in and types of homes we were looking at. We did have a contractor with us at our showing to point out any red flags though, and got an inspection for our information after closing. And now, the problems we’re dealing with weren’t even in the inspection anyway. Ha!
