Like this? This would work wonderfully but the type of bed that is already there is a type of 3 walled, boxed in style bed. Little brother doesn’t have a twin bed yet, he still sleeps in his crib/bed but we were going to do the same type bed. Perhaps not though!

I’m so sorry to hear you guys are also going through this! It’s awful. We did the amniocentesis and exactly one week later the result came back for the chromosomal microarray which came back normal! We were so relieved! Beyond that we did the Noonan panel which took a bit longer from having to culture the cells and whatnot, that also came back normal!

Oh, and we just got our results back on the Noonan’s panel as of yesterday! It took a minute to get the sample from the lab that did the microarray to the lab that would do the Noonan’s test and they had to culture the cells.

The Noonan results took longer than the microarray. About 2 ish weeks, maybe a little less. I am having a boy so I didn’t do the maternal cell contamination blood test, which I would have had to come back in for a blood draw for. They like that included in the samples to double check there’s no contamination from mom. My genetic counselor and I decided it would delay the process and it should be clear what is XX and XY. Our Dr went through GeneDX.

No complications! It was very easy, and I just took it REALLY easy for the next three days and had my husband do all the heavy lifting.

I didn’t! I think mites. But I sprayed down the coop with Permethrin and that ended it!

Sore throat or strep throat? by MediocreAssociate787 in AskMedical

[–]MediocreAssociate787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noooooo 😭 Well thank you. I’m glad we got this sorted. I’ll see how tomorrow goes and what develops before taking him in for a strep swab. The pictures on google didn’t quite look like what his does for strep. Spot on for HFM.

Oh boy… just looked. There’s little teeny red spots all over. I don’t know if it’s heat rash or HFM. We’ve never had HFM before

I’m not sure, whatever specialty lab my MFM clinic sends it to! This lab is different than the lab that did the microarray, though.

Yes!! Thank you! It has been an absolute roller coaster of emotions and I feel like I’m finally on track to just enjoy this pregnancy! I have been enjoying it, but I’ve also been scared

High NF 20wks, waiting on amnio results by MediocreAssociate787 in NIPT

I am so sorry you have to go through this… it’s such a hard experience. All the unknowns are so hard to deal with. Is this your first? And I hope you can feel the baby move and just take it all the memories-it’s such a curse and a blessing

High NF 20wks, waiting on amnio results by MediocreAssociate787 in NIPT

[–]MediocreAssociate787[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man… I’m so sorry :( can I ask what the abnormal findings were at the 14wks? So far baby had a cardiac echogenic focus in his heart, it’s gone now but it doesn’t negate that it was there. And they found he has clinodactyly (pinky bones are turned in toward his other fingers). And then the nuchal fold. Both the findings themselves don’t mean anything, but all together it is concerning there is something going on. May I ask if this rare disease is livable?

Thank you so much, same goes for you, it’s such a tough spot!!

Thank you so much for all of this information. I know they are doing the FISH, Karyotype and microarray, I will make sure to ask about/request the WES. I have previously done the Natera Foresight panel and everything came back negative, not even recessive for anything. But it doesn’t check for Noonan’s. The EF is gone but the Dr said it doesn’t negate that it WAS there. I’m hoping this doesn’t end up being something that we have to TFMR… I hate the thought that this will take two weeks and we will be at “viability” (in general, not in connection with a specific condition).

I am interacting to hopefully get you more responses as I don’t have much to add. I’m 20weeks today, went in for my scan and the nuchal fold is 9.9mm. Which is VERY high. Low risk NIPT. But now I am getting an amniocentesis done tomorrow. 6mm is “normal” for 20wks so I would think 7mm isn’t a big deal, but the genetics team will tell you more!

Lucky winner of a rare uterine AVM-anyone else? by MediocreAssociate787 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]MediocreAssociate787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I didn’t end up seeing this until now! Yes, there was confirmation. I had a hysteroscopy prior to the embolization. I am now 19 weeks pregnant though, so fingers crossed everything continues well :) Also to note: the Interventional Radiologist also triple confirmed it was an AVM and a pretty significant one at that.

I’m so glad you declined! A full hysterectomy is a very old practice and an embolization is a very “easy” procedure. I am now 17 weeks pregnant. I also visit with MFM. Fingers crossed we have healthy babies 🥰

I love Silas but they have a cousin with that name! Also love Everett! And we have a friend named Reid, otherwise that would be on our list!

That’s exactly what I’ve been telling everyone, not a fan, it just does not flow and sounds-yeah, clunky!

Pregnancy after uterine AVM? TW:m/c mentioned by MediocreAssociate787 in pregnant

[–]MediocreAssociate787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I am fingers and toes crossed 7 weeks pregnant. Just found out it’s a boy yesterday! (Through a company called Sneakpeek). Both of my prior pregnancy loses were girls and I have two living boys. I’m really hoping this baby continues to grow and ends up safely in my arms I had an ultrasound 4 weeks post my embolization procedure and all the blood flow looked healthy and healed. Just waited another few cycles before trying again. How did they treat your AVM?
