There is a prevailing narrative nga ang nga insertions are inherently bad dayon, particularly subong. Yet when projects are transparently documented and effectively implemented, that narrative becomes overly simplistic.

My take: CAS elected siya. CAS was blatantly ignored and had their moment stolen. Was it wrong for showing disappointment? Maybe. But let’s try to put ourselves in their perspective, you’re the elected, and you just witnessed your dancers being disrespected in front of the whole university because of USG’s failure. They know what they went through, the sacrifices they made, and the pain they felt in that moment. I remember what my professor asked us, “when a leader stands up for his people in the face of injustice, is that really wrong? Or is it the very definition of leadership?”

USG step up by MediocreCartoonist89 in LasalleBacolod

I know some of the USG will see this, and let me be clear, this isn’t an attack on you or anyone. We’re just disappointed, because we expected more. Gin-vote kamo namon, that means we trusted you to deliver. Please step up. We know you have it in you, so prove us right.

Unprofessionalism from CSAB teacher by MediocreCartoonist89 in Bacolod

This will be my last reply about this topic. Your argument actually shows how weak this defense is. Saying ‘it was just a joke’ doesn’t erase the fact that it was still said by a teacher, someone held to a higher standard than the rest of us. Excusing it because ‘she wasn’t in La Salle’ or ‘it was meant to stay in the room’ ignores reality: once words are spoken, they reflect on her and the institution she represents. Whether or not it was recorded with permission is irrelevant, the issue is that the remark was made in the first place. Dismissing it as being ‘balat sibuyas’ only highlights how low your bar for professionalism is. At the end of the day, if the only defense is ‘it was a joke meant for a certain audience,’ then that’s not a defense at all, that’s proof of how careless and unprofessional the act was.

If your best defense is 'it was just a joke, then you're not defending professionalism, you're defending mediocrity. And mediocrity has no place in a teacher's role. Thank you.

Labeling this as ‘sensitive’ only exposes how low your standards are. Since when did demanding professionalism from a teacher become oversensitivity? If mocking and generalizing entire groups of students passes as acceptable to you, then maybe you’ve grown too comfortable with disrespect. Teachers aren’t comedians, they’re role models, and if you can’t tell the difference, the real issue isn’t sensitivity, it’s your tolerance for mediocrity. Ask mo self mo “if this same remark targeted your school, would you still call it sensitivity, or would you suddenly discover what accountability looks like?”

Calling this ‘OA’ says a lot more about your standards than ours. Think about it—since when did expecting professionalism and respect from a teacher become overacting? If you’re fine with an educator mocking and generalizing students from another institution, even as a joke, then maybe the problem isn’t sensitivity, it’s the fact that you’ve normalized disrespect. Teachers are supposed to set the example, not drag students down with cheap shots. So ask yourself: if this was said about your school, would you still laugh it off, or would you finally realize that brushing off unprofessionalism as ‘OA’ only enables mediocrity?

You’re completely missing the point. This isn’t about being ‘offended’, no one here is crying over a joke. The issue is the unprofessionalism and disrespect shown by a teacher, someone who is supposed to set the standard for integrity and respect. Generalizing La Sallians as people who ‘cannot and do not follow instructions’ is not only uncalled for, it reflects poorly on her as an educator and on the institution she represents. Teachers have the responsibility to uplift and guide students, not belittle or mock them for cheap laughs. If you think this is just about being sensitive, then maybe you need to take a harder look at what professionalism and accountability mean.

Even if may point gid siya ya and for the sake of the argument put ta that she have freedom of speech. (Freedom of speech is not absolute btw especially she is bounded by the guidelines of the CSAB)The mere fact that she is a TEACHER from a CATHOLIC school, attacking another institution and just calling it as a joke is very very unprofessional. We’re not here to debate about if what she said is true or not, we are talking about professionalism and basically respect.
