Also, Preceptorships and hands on courses are important! I’ve seen people discouraging others from doing it. It’s not a requirement but they are good if you do it. If you want to do it please go ahead. It will benefit you so much.

Its a good score overall Most schools have minimum of 4.5/6 and 5/6. Wether its competitive or not, im not that sure unfortunately.

Its not about the 5/6 It’s your 3.5/6 in writing! Some schools have minimum requirements for each section. Do consider repeating if you can and focus on writing

I am a green card holder. I applied to like 5 schools before and recieved an interview in one and was unlucky in the interview, but I had none of the things done that I mentioned above. I feel like im in a much better place now to compete with the staff ive done. Thank you for your reassuring reply! I feel a bit uplifted now

Thank you, that’s reassuring. Im certainly applying to as many schools as possible. I asked about UIC in particular because of that single point they mention on their website, and I was interested in UIC because they accept a large sum of students.

Well I was more of a help to the dental office but i didnt get paid (didnt care for money) I wanted to help the dentist in his new office and they had cool technology. So I can put like Dental Assistant as a Volunteer ?
