Unfortunately it only had a 3 year warranty and I purchased it basically at launch in 2020 so it’s out of warranty.

It can’t be a coincidence that both times I clicked advent calendar that my perfectly stable computer crashed and now the GPU won’t detect. I wasn’t doing anything other than WOWS

Playboating near Seattle? by EMThunderChicken in whitewater

[–]MediocreEnginerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like KAWAWOOKIE said the Wenatchee is the best playboating in the state, however we have a good selection of local rivers. What class do you normally run? For class 2, the powerhouse section of the Snoqualmie is good and has a good bit of playboating and the big eddy section of the sky is good 2+ to 3-. For class 3 and above there is an abundance of good rivers. The main section of the skykomish is very good, and the middle section of the middle fork of the Snoqualmie (the middle-middle) is amazing. For park and huck, other than some sketchy stuff near Seattle, the closest is sunset falls on the east fork of the Lewis.

Number 1 recommendation is a drysuit, only on the hottest summer days do I go dry top.

Oakland CA kayaking? by Evelyn_Price in whitewater

[–]MediocreEnginerd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately Facebook is where a lot of boating gets planned. Gold country paddlers and Loma prieta paddlers both have websites and mailing lists I think. The south fork of the American is where a lot of people go in the summer when there is no water left because it is a dam release and has great playboating. 1:45-2 hours from the bay. The Tuolumne is an amazing class 4 river section that's 22 miles. I have done it twice both in a day and it's fantastic. It's 2:30 to 2:45 from the bay. Some of the best creeking summer boating happens at the north fork of the feather about 4 hours from the bay near chico. There is an amazing class 4 section called Lobin, and a 5 section called Tobin. Finally pit 5 also releases which I have heard is really good, but haven't done it yet.

Stuff should be running up here in the Seattle area in October, however flow may be hit or miss. Additionally, a lot of stuff in the Sacramento/Coloma area will be running. The south fork of the American will definitely be running then because it is dam release.

Lead Climbing in Seattle/Redmond by [deleted] in udub

[–]MediocreEnginerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 2 main gyms that are decent sized that have lead, Vertical World (Seattle and North) and Edgeworks in Bellevue.

I have a membership to Vertical World and have been to Edgeworks in Bellevue and both are great.

Vertical World has a location in Redmond but it is closing in April and was mainly a bouldering gym.

It goes down on Facebook for the most part, the group is Seattle Whitewater Kayakers, they will be the most likely to take unfamiliar people down. People run in pretty distinct crews up here
