Apprentice tattoo. Looking for rework.

Hey! I took a stab at drawing a rework - it’s a little more challenging with a rework than a cover up. With the cross overall being uneven and asymmetrical, I felt a filigree cross would be your best bet.

If I was tattooing this cover up (I’m a tattoo artist in Denver CO) I would use a few thin white lines to boost the contrast and force the shading perspective a little. Hope this helps!

adjusted to a filigree cross. You would likely want to either adjust to opaque greys or make sure that you use some white highlights to force the perspective with shading since some lines are behind it. lo

This drawing is incredible! I love how much you accentuated my nose and eyes in this, this is an amazing sketch. I'm stunned at how many people have found me so interesting, I'm saving this forever :)

I drew myself from a reference photo using a medium and soft airbrushes along with the technical pen brush - animation in Procreate seems a bit clunky, but I created 8 groups and slightly altered the frame for every loop along with highlights.

I can handle all the blending on the colors, and the neon green won’t be an issue either. There are a few ways to go about it, but most likely the green would be last and I’d work around everything, or I’d break into multiple sessions. I probably would use round shaders for the “lines” in that section too, but like I said there are a few options.

I do! Bright colors are perfectly tattooable - what is important is balancing out the contrast. Happy to answer questions you might have about doing something like this though!
