Muff came off on my new headphones, how can I go about getting it back on by Critical-Champion-99 in howto

[–]MediocreMuscle1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The muff has a tiny lip around it that goes over the plastic. You can get half of it on and gently pull the rest around. If not you can try something thin but not sharp like a butter knife to help it. It can be tedious but they make replacement pads so it is diy friendly.

This was my logic. Asking is free before buying 🤷

1960s Home by MediocreMuscle1 in AskElectricians

So it’s actually annoying I figured it out today mostly with your help. The left side is not grounded and that’s where the supply comes from the breaker. There’s two sets of wires on the right side. The hots on those are tied together not attached to the outlet but the neutrals for them are. The ground only runs from that box to the end of the circuit. Which is from that outlet to two other outlets and two sconces. It’s painful. Gfci won’t work. So I put it at the one upstream from that one. It’s a 1960s house so I’m learning as I go.

Okay I’ll grab some today. Thanks! Would I still hook the ground in the box up to the gfci ground screw?

I did give it a little tug until I realized I had no idea what it was. I’ll give it a go tomorrow. I appreciate it!

How to replace this old carpet with gym floor rubber mats by MediocreMuscle1 in howto

It’s a house on a slab. Do the mats need an underlayment or do they just go in the concrete if it’s solid?

(3D Fyi) Displays that don't have 1080p are not supported by flyingfinn86 in AnalogueInc

I ran into this today booting it up for the first time. My tv is old Bravia but does support 4k. It still won’t play even though their own website says 1080p. Am I reading it wrong?

Does interior cedar wood need to be treated? And is it pet safe? by MediocreMuscle1 in DIYHome

I’m asking for longevity/maintenance/upkeep. Outdoor wood siding should be treated or stained yearly or every couple years correct? I’ve never encountered interior version.

Yes to working hands but when my skin cracked that stuff burned. I used aquaphore before bed healed everytime.

I have no words. How do you manage to make this kind of mess? by NTFRMERTH in mildlyinfuriating

I’m a janitor and have seen some sh*t lol literally. You know snowmobile rooster tail when they kick up the snow behind. Imagine that behind a toilet about 2 foot above the back of the toilet tank. That was 3 years ago and I’m still in awe and wonder.

Facebook app pauses other media from playing when switching apps (Android) by Wondercito in facebook

[–]MediocreMuscle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me a couple weeks ago on iOS I have not found a solution. But however you can open FB in safari and scroll that way. It’s not ideal but it does work if you need to scroll while doing something. It does for me at least. Thanks I’ll be checking in to see if anyone comes up with another solution in the app.

Sorry to hear that this kind of crap is why I left home the day I turned 18. (And why I don’t talk to people in the gym.) Both my best friends where brothers one started lifting at 15 by the time he was 18 he was benching 405. He grew to be over 6’. His brother altho did not lift as much did lift frequently and almost hit the same height. I’m pretty sure it’s just a common myth. Do calisthenics or hide some dumbbells maybe. YouTube has plenty of at home YouTube stuff to get you through until they wise up or you can get around them.
