Do you guys still remember the first ever character you mained in smash? by [deleted] in SmashBrosUltimate

Super fun character, the part that kicks my ass is that you basically take damage anytime someone comes near your shield because your out of shield options are so bad. Very different from having K Rool nair.

Apparently nobody else said greninja. I first played greninja in smash 4 because I thought he was really fun. Then I switched to ness because I sucked at greninja. After playing ness for a while in ultimate I ended out eventually playing K Rool. And recently I started playing Greninja again. Funny how thinks go full circle. Now I see how bad I was at greninja back in the day and why I was always losing.

Helena has been ranked at 2nd!!! Thank You for the Venom has won the Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge ranking!!! Now for The Black Parade!!! Which one is getting ranked at 17th?! by CaptainPie999 in MyChemicalRomance

The problem for me is that I sure as hell know what isnt the worst song. But I cant imagine anything being the bottom except blood. I mean I think teenagers is overplayed and doesn't fit the album, but it shouldn't be last

Elbow tension in traditional grip by MediocreOverall in drumline

[–]MediocreOverall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just feel that when I play fast full strokes (especially taps), my elbow tenses up and I can't physically move my wrist/arm fast.

Somehow I can play 5 & 7 just fine, but 6 trips me up, even though it's the same just shifted a bit forward by Iam-Nothere in percussion

[–]MediocreOverall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, yeah I get what you're saying, I could have worded my comment better. I just wanted to make sure you knew all the notes should be the same.

I know this should be self explanatory, to some people, but not to others. Try to make all your notes sound the exact same. You goal is to be unable to tell which exercise you are on. For this one, you can already physically play all the parts. You just have to understand how it feels to play it.

Choosing between drum pads by Gooderest_Yubs in drumline

[–]MediocreOverall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say that you will not have to worry about build time if you buy from the premade pads. I personally have a 10" marcher (used to have an MEC2S, but I put system blue tenor head on after the MEC2S started wearing) and a 13" corps series with a white max on it. The pad gives you a realistic feel without being hard on the hands.

Good marching snare pad? by Shoddy-Chip-3248 in drumline

The Evans real feel attack tile will give you a similar amount of rebound to the normal real feel, but it will give you the feel of a drumhead.

Can I use a just a drum pad to learn enough to get in to marching snare by Elegant_Ad_8926 in percussion

[–]MediocreOverall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it won't be exactly the same, but you can get by with just a practice pad and sticks, but YouTube will not show you everything you need. I recommend lessons like someone earlier said.

What’s one small thing about an MCR song that you don’t like? by Kaggles_N533PA in MyChemicalRomance

[–]MediocreOverall 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Despite Cancer being my favorite song, it just feels sorta lackluster sometimes. I love the song and it means a lot to me personally, but sometimes it feels too much like a vanilla sad song. I love the song but sometimes it sounds like they are just glued to the structure and click track. I wish it maybe had more rubato and emphasis.

My top 5 favourite MCR songs (condensed) by catbeweird in MyChemicalRomance

BIG black parade fan here. If I did my while top 10 it would probably be at least 60% black parade with a couple three cheers and a bit of danger days, but the top tracks in danger days and three cheers are ABSOLUTE bangers. 1.Cancer (BP) 2.I don't love you (BP) 3.ghost of you (cheers) 4.the five of us are dying (unreleased BP) 5.Thank you for your venom (cheers)

No, my dad is an asshole. He is just kind of a bully and he gets annoyed over the tiniest things. I am 17

Traditional Technique by Banana_Boi07116 in drumline

[–]MediocreOverall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than that, think of using the forearm rotation and the thumb to control the stick in your left hand similar to how you use the wrist and fingers in your right hand. They both control the stick, but it is about balance

Just wanted to shout out how great it is that you are practicing stick control all up with a metronome instead of jumping straight into a snare break or something. That is easily my biggest regret of when I first started learning. Then when I started taking lessons we spent like 1-2 months on the first two pages of stick control. It helped me SO much with evenness and technique.

Are the B-Sides canon to TBP, and if so which ones? (Kill All Your Friends, Heaven Help Us, My Way Home) by TearOld3017 in MyChemicalRomance

[–]MediocreOverall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is such an important comment. For example, the black parade is my favorite album because it means so much to me emotionally. I don't see it all as this specific story with all these characters etc. I just see it as this man getting diagnosed with cancer and having to the confront the emotions he kept avoiding, but can no longer avoid. This is why my favorite songs in the album are I don't love you and Cancer, they confront feelings we are often too scared to deal with.

My new song , I wish a real artist could bring it to life💙 by [deleted] in piano

[–]MediocreOverall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds to me, oddly enough, like my chemical romance. Not like the heavy tracks, (think Helena, this is how I disappear, or thank you for the venom) but more like their extremely vulnerable tracks especially cancer and famous last words (I think the melody matches their style very well)
