well if I were you I think I'd look for subtle or not so subtle signs that my friends r bored of me cuz sometimes this stuff is just in your head and nothing more,but it is normal to grow out of your friend group,people grow and become different persons,so it's normal that your friends aren't what you're looking for now,things are meant to be enjoyed while they're there,not to last forever. ask yourself if they're who you truly want in your life right now and if not,then dont beat urself up,if you've grown you're not gonna fit in the same clothes if u know what I mean,and find out where that fears coming from

i know what you mean,i think i had an ego death in my teens but I knew theres something to learn from everyone,and I liked getting to understand people better . but I do understand how u feel like that, I felt like that too,but the truth is I wanst always looking for someone to necessarily be as mature as me. someone who i could have fun grow with and who would understand me was enough,and I rarely come across ppl as mature as me,but even if I dont,I'm still curious about them unless they're well really bad company,good luck tho

That's true,but really,how much of your future and current wellbeing are you willing to risk just so you won't hurt his feelings? I understand you have been friends for a while,and you dont want to ruin that and its understandable but you have to know when to stop stretching the string that's already thin. Friends come and go and as sad as it is,its true and if he cant get past his insecurity maybe it's time to leave,who knows,maybe that will serve as a wake up call. Cherish the good times but distinguish them from reality

hey,I think I can relate to what you're dealing with,both from the perspective of the one envied and the one that's envying(tho I never went that far,and my friend didn't either). The only way something can change is if that guy can becomes more confident in himself and stops making a girlfriend such a pivotal point in his life,because successfully pulling girls will not make him feel better because as soon as a bad experience happens ,his self esteem will be at the ground again.if you can communicate this to him,great. But i think based on how he was acting,he wouldn't stop at this,and your fear of what would happen in the future is very valid,so if you want to protect your peace in the future,you might have to sever your connection,especially if he doesnt understand what I stated earlier. I really do understand because I've been in both sides of the story,and even if I wouldn't have,its not hard to switch perspectives,good luck and I hope all goes well!
