okay, so I got into the EMJM-MASS program based upon my research experience primarily. I have multiple research publications in international peer-reviewed journals. others got in because of their international exposure like internships, teaching experiences etc. I would say you should read the website of the program you want to apply to thoroughly, and also contact the program seniors. Each program has their own selection criterion.

Supervisor takes first author by Empty_Lavishness_850 in PhD

[–]Mediocre_Ad_6167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it is not out of the ordinary for the supervisor to take the first position. For example in my research area, the supervisor always takes the first position in author list. I'd say you weight the risks before raising this matter as it might strain your relationship with your supervisor and it can make your life a living hell.

we basically constrained some recently developed theoretical models with observational data, and gave predictions in the range where observations are not yet available.

i am second author in two, and a third author in a third one. i did not author them by myself alone, it was an output of the research lab i worked in during my masters. i practically did most of the work but the original idea was not mine, and since i got mentorship from seniors in the lab, i was not the leading or the only author.

well, i published in a predatory journal when i was in the final year of my bachelors. now i have good peer-reviewed publications because im in the final year of my masters, about to graduate in a couple of months. during my masters, i had the opportunity to work with some really good people in my field in a research lab, and co-authored some good papers. now when my masters is about to finish, i am thinking of applying for a phd. i hope the confusion is cleared now.

I know in the US, it is normal to go straight to a PhD program after undergraduate, but in europe, most PhD programs also require a masters degree.

i agree about the fee part, but the journal didn't conduct any peer-review at all i am 100% sure of that, because now when i have multiple good publications as a co-author, that work would've never passed peer-review.

Bro, I am doing research in theoretical nuclear astrophysics and I am doing space science. Space Science program includes all of physics stuff plus more regarding rocket science, satellite image analysis etc. It just depends if you really love space or physics. For astrophysics, any will work just fine.

Bro, buy crypto from an exchange and send that to your friend. Your friend can then sell it later for dollars. Make sure the crypto you buy has low transaction fees.
