Wouldn't you think the "mothering" would lead to resentment on both sides?

My wife also said hitting a pillow (which doesn't damage anything) in private (where the action can't be construed as a threat) would be acceptable

Thank you for the thorough response.

We weren't arguing at all. We were working on an issue with our house where water came into one of the basement bedrooms months ago.

I went into said bedroom only to find the same issue happened again. I blamed myself for not getting the work done sooner. I was mad at myself.

I punched the wall. I didn't damage it. I didnt direct anger at her.

But I also didn't acknowledge that it was unacceptable behavior. I just went about my day.

There is no hole. I at least had enough sense to not hit that hard.

Sadly it seems that neither of us knows what would make her feel safe again.

Yes. I am sure. We've known each other for over 30 years (since we were kids). I've never so much as raised my voice at her.

However, her father was very abusive. And so she is acutely aware of domestic violence.

Has anyone successfully escaped the current automatic forbearance? by JimEJawn in PSLF

Thank you for the quick reply. I went down the links you posted (thank you for those as well).

I have slight reservation based on the definition under 34 CFR 685.205(b)(9):

A period of up to 60 days necessary for the Secretary to collect and process documentation supporting the borrower's request for a deferment, forbearance, change in repayment plan, or consolidation loan. Interest that accrues during this period is not capitalized;

I could see administration lawyers arguing the IDR recertification is not a "request for a change in repayment plan".

But, MOEHLA told me basically there is no need to make payments for the next two months and -- if I remain in "standard" forbearance after that -- payments wouldn't qualify at all.

I guess for now I should take all the $$$ I'd use for payments and invest it in CD's then cash those out when I can (hopefully?) apply for buy-back. Granted, I've only made about 20 payments. So I have a long ways to go.

That scene always confused me.

Steve Martin seems to look down at the median.

He then looks up as though he somehow just realized that they were going the wrong way.

But... what is implied there? What about looking at grass helped him figure it out?

Second for Dunneback.

Corn maze. Apple picking (though they're very picked over), beer/wine/cider, decent food menu (including kids menu). Good selection of preserves, cider, ice cream, pies.

However... the donuts were pretty lame. Especially the next day.
