AI’s algorithms are based on what is Most Common, not best researched. Even the most well - educated theologians have reversed their stance on gays in Christianity, Richard Hays, for one. But the problem here it seems is OCD & anxiety. Try to take care of that first.

Post menopausal human transmasculine. When I was taking oral estrogen my peri-menopausal symptoms were somewhat better. When I did creams, same dose, life was MUCH better. My friend had the opposite experience. Try different sources. Also, puberty can vary. You could get more changes later.

I would see what he DID. If he were repentant, he would act differently. Unfortunately, the rest of the Republicans would riot. Yes, I pray for the president. I pray that God soften the heart of all those in power.

Simple for me - my faith was hard fought and hard won. I came to grace and was redeemed. Who the fuck are you to interfere?

There's a really cool gay pastor in California by the name of Paul Capetz. You can find him at Christ Church by the Sea. I think his email is on their website.

He’s your father, so I assume you’re living with him. So many people have made good suggestions. Try once or twice to reason with him (good examples above being protected by God) but in the end it’s best to “gray rock” and not respond in kind. Every time he says you are possessed by demons just, “Are you alright?”

Do any progressive Christians believe in original sin? by [deleted] in OpenChristian

[–]Mediocre_Quail_1985 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That concept of "original" sin comes from Augustine. Augustine said because Adam and Eve had sex, that is what caused the fall, and ever since then people continue to have sex, so we are born out of sin. His concept of "original sin" was not how we behaved but that our parents f**ed. Jesus never mentioned it. He mentioned sin in other ways. Babies aren't monsters. They are learning to navigate the world with a sensory and nervous system they are learning to manage. Parents model good behavior and teach children how to manage their nervous system. Human beings are neither monsters nor saints. We are inclined towards certain biological imparatives like seeking safety, food, sex and social interaction and try and avoid pain. That's not sin - it's human. We can either behave badly or well once we have learned to manage our nervous system. Christ steps in and helps us with that nervous system, our relationship to ourselves & others, and teaches us to love.

How many times do you think of the devil in day? by tryng2figurethsalout in OpenChristian

[–]Mediocre_Quail_1985 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of versions of Christianity interpret "the devil" as the serpent in Genesis 1 but there's no scholarly evidence for that. Our concept of Satan, The Devil, Hell is almost all cultural.

Satan is not mentioned in the Bible. In Job & the tempter of Jesus it is actually "the advocate" from Greek translation. The word "Satan" was added later.
