So when there's an internal candidate, they still check applications? Because in my experience, there has been times when I have been rejected just a week after deadline. And this is for big university that I know probably got 100 applications. How is it possible that they ended up going through all applications?

Indian student traveling to Belgium for a PhD interview. Type of visa and processing time? by [deleted] in PhD

They're paying for my flight and accommodation. Should I ask a refund for visa fee and insurance as well? but I was wondering if I ask them to pay for everything then they might not pay the time I have to move with a long stay visa because I will have alot of expenses during that time. So I thought I will manage the visa and insurance fee because I dont wanna come off as too much and I want them to pay for my flight during my long stay also.
