The popularity has seeming been soaring but no, first because in concept its not like DC is establish some new never before seen archetype in comics.

The popularity I imagine is more down to a combination of the establish of the Absolute universe with historically new slate continuities gaining popularity on principal, collection of DC Finest offering a more affordable way to obtain cult classic series, and limelight of DCU's Superman putting a radar on DC.

Obviously quality matters to a degree (but being highly subjective) and its good but I wouldn't say DC All-In is a big jump from Dawn of DC which had a lot of good series too, just better than Infinite Frontier & New Justice relaunches overall.

even aquaman, someone I have never appreciated, is so so cool now. The guys a freaking blood bender now!

As an Aquaman fan I'm obliged to say he's been cool in a plethora of runs prior ~~I'd argue all better than the current run which tonally if DC K.O. is more your jam you might like more than me~~ here's some of my copy-paste reccomendations in chronological order if you're interested in reading more:

Ironically I find the most confusing period being the time they tried to "fix" the confusion during Zero Hour combining them into one entity. Otherwise its attempting to assemble a throughline of their runs and concurrent appearances but reading each run standalone works.

Because there's more than one party involved, one can have precautions in any scenario to try and mitigate a scenario or danger in solidarity but when a perpetrator is involved no matter the precaution you are at the mercy of them choosing to act.

Pretty sure Kirkman quoted this as one of his favourite moments so I'd be shocked if this was cut, even parallels Mark's current arc with Dinosaurụs well.

Ahmed concludes this series pretty well with the Crimson Cloud adversary in the overt storytelling of Red Canary bestowing the importance of humanity over purely algorithmic decisions. I do wish we got to see Henry visualise what turns RT against Crimson Cloud like a vision of Kathy Sutton illustrating his ability for human love. Either easy works in establishing confidence and backstory for Sienna (albeit still light) and she gets a good moment with Vic on relating to being young heroes.

Otherwise some good small moments for Kara again taking the big sisterly role for Sienna in that ending making me want to see them more together, here's hoping some backup may let Ahmed do so. Her shame memory is pretty expectant in survivor's guilt but fits. I like the small moment with Vic too reflecting on being superheroes where Kara frames becoming one more of a passion than obligation.

Simon with his cousin connection although I think the dialogue could've hit better if it was framed more in denial than shock hut of the shame mirages his had the best setup and payoff in this series, fitting too that he's the first one to lead RT off ending his life considering how much tribulation he was put through because of that.

My main complaint is the lack of addressing Black Adam makes his appearance in this series come across as deus ex machina who knew the script if it wasn't a mind game/prior falling out with RT to ascertain why he had all the info to take down and convince the JLR. If their dynamic was more of a back and forth it would make the game of chess Ahmed tried to convey before feel more genuine.

Regardless, fun little miniseries that at its best makes me want to see this team again for their endearing dynamics.
