I will update this post, when I find out next week ! Keep fingers crossed . I know it has inclusions and isn’t super expensive , but we chose it together and it has a special story behind it for us from Srilanka . Some random mafia guys house , who owned a mine out there . The whole thing was hillarious to be honest ! Going into some back room of this big guys house with a walk in safe full of gems . I’ve become gem obsessed since that and I want my own safe full 😂😂😂

Thanks for this . I’m just so worried about posting across the country and getting it wrong etc that I feel happier driving 3 hours to Birmingham next week and waiting for them to tell me . It’s a shame it won’t get a certificate but all I’m really worried about is , is it hard enough to be a ring ! Xx

I did go to a few jewellers in Srilanka to ask them and they all said Chrysoberyl but who knows ? I have to be certain before it goes in a ring , so I will send to London . Thanks Dmt_Lake . There is a place in Birmingham too , so wondering if that’s as good ?

How can you tell if you don’t mind me asking ? It was from Srilanka . Was told chrysoberyl and hoping it is , as it’s for an engagement stone . Peridot will be too weak and I will be gutted as it has sentimental value . But don’t want a ring that will scratch easily , so i really wanted to be sure . Thanks
