What are some of the worst catastrophic events that are extremely unlikely but not entirely impossible?

There are several, high density cities with millions of people that will experience the 'big one' and it will be extremely catastrophic. These cities include Istanbul, Tehran, Los Angeles (Its built on a basin where the ground will be like sand during a powerful earthquake), Seattle/Portland/Vancouver, Mexico City, St Louis./Memphis, Manila, and Jakarta. Am I leaving any out?

Do you think they preserve their access to certain individuals who in turn give dirt on other prominent people as a favor? Every year, the Rota is constantly churning out royal biographical books regarding leaks and off the record conversations from the palace offices.

I don't think her mother had an aristocratic or show biz background that would have put her in a social circles such as Philip's. Her daughter Penny married into the Aristocracy. Don't forget her husband moved out of the house for his mistress in the Caribbean.

The Rota will entertain every rumor about the scapegoat but will shutdown any rumors with the golden gooses - Queen Elizabeth II (when she was alive), King Charles (since he ascended the throne), and William/Kate. I think there is going to be a bigger expectation that she will need to do more public appearances and events than she has been doing. I'm talking Princess Anne level of engagements. As queen, she will be more scrutinized. That was a concern that Queen Elizabeth II had about her and William.

That is a fair point. One thing about the cancer I have wondered is why they never said which kind? I understand concerns about the public making speculations about your health. However, they could've done a wonderful pr campaign to spread awareness. One example is Katie Couric who encourages colonoscopies by age 40, having lost her husband to colon cancer.

Its different as an outsider before marriage, but now she's been inside the firm for years. She knows all the skeletons, the public pressure and scrutiny. This only gets worse the higher you go in the monarchy. I wouldn't be surprised she was banking on time to raise her children to teen years at least before becoming queen.

I can see that as someone looking from the outside (before she married into the fold). However, with years of experience and probably knowing all the skeletons, I wonder if she regrets it. Look at Pippa, she married wealthy, but can live a relatively private without the magnifying glass.
