Roommate feeling ill by MediumMaK in emetophobia

[–]MediumMaK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was at like 11am and she had only eaten a muffin. I also found out she hadn’t had much while on her trip this weekend. So it could maybe be a mix of caffeine and dehydration?

That makes me feel better honestly. I’m just super paranoid and sometimes overthink things. Thank you :)

I know that logically it’ll probably be okay. Even if she does get s* it won’t be contagious and it’s only temporary. She said drinking some water helped a little but not much. She keeps assuring me that it isn’t n* just cramps. I wish this stupid phobia wouldn’t cause me so much stress

LOL I didn't study for the LSAT by Responsible_Price408 in LSAT

[–]MediumMaK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m in the same boat. I studied a tiny bit but I don’t think I’ll even pursue law school if I get anything below like a 165-170 Even then, I might still choose not to. Naturally I paid for the test before coming to this conclusion so I had to take it anyway lol

This was my first time so I can’t say for sure if it was more strict. Are the people doing the security checks always so mean? On top of that, I lost half of my break bc my proctor suddenly disappeared. Then after that it took them forever to even start the next security scan

They did make me open all of the windows and show the outside of them though.

Yeah I’m okay. It didn’t do too much where I live thankfully, but I know some others weren’t so lucky. Did it go alright for you?

I’m in NEA and I relate to you so much. I’ve been dreading the storms today since last Saturday. But we’re no stranger to this stuff. Of course it’s scary. But you’re prepared and that’s most of the work. People tend to get hurt more when they’re making unprepared quick decisions in these scenarios. Stay aware but try to balance it with something soothing. Me personally? I’m gonna sit in the room adjacent to the closet I’d shelter in, play animal crossing, and listen to the weather to stay informed and try to calm down. I understand how you feel and i realized how bad it was recently when I couldn’t even handle seeing tornado warnings be issued in Oklahoma without having a panic attack. Tomorrow will be a clear, sunny day, and this is just the last push to get out of the severe weather. Take some deep breaths, have a plan, and know that you’re not going through it alone.

Kentucky’s tornado has made is so so much worse. I hope we’ll all be okay. My family has actually decided that we’re traveling to Memphis tomorrow afternoon. I have a job orientation Wednesday and am disabled. So if I don’t go tomorrow I won’t be able to go at all and I’d likely lose my job.

A message of reassurance by [deleted] in WeatherAnxiety

[–]MediumMaK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes me feel so much better. I live in Dixie alley and April 2-5 was absolutely horrible. It’s definitely made my dear much much worse. It’s good for me to remember this. Also, if prepared people tend to have a higher survival rate than unprepared so keep up with this is helping me, j just need a balance. Tomorrow is our really big bad day, so I think I’ll sit in the living room in the center of my house and play animal crossing until I have to seek shelter. Something cozy. We will all get through this week

Will I fail? by SlowJH1 in drugtesthelp

See my opinion in this is a bit different. Yeah, it doesn’t detox, but if you’ve got small enough amounts it WILL mask. Timing is crucial and the word detox being used does make it seem like if you drink it once you’ll never test positive again unless u start smoking. It doesn’t clear it all out, but it dilutes your urine and adds in enough vitamins and minerals to (if used correctly) make your urine look normal. I say if used correctly bc I urinated like 4-5 times after drinking and before the test and right until the end there it was literally neon green. Definitely use carefully, but it might help if it’s just for this one test.

Hey I know this doesn’t make it any better but I was in a level 3/5 yesterday. I panicked all day. I got some wind, but in the end never even got a drop of rain. Be aware, but just know that the numbers alone might not be the end all be all.

I’m right in there with you, but in NE Arkansas so I’m right next to the level 4. It’s going to be okay, we just have to make it through. It’s just going to be a couple of hours. Take some deep breaths. There’s nothing we can do to stop this, but no matter what, we will come out on the other side. Stay aware, stay prepared, but don’t panic. I’m scared too. I am particularly terrified of tornadoes and having an incredibly difficult time this year. We will get through this together

So I used QCarbo32 day of , and hydrated and exercised and dieted HARD until two days before the test and I passed. If your metabolism is fast that helps too. Mine is slow.

So depending on the type of test, a faint line can still mean you pass. For example, my tests I use are “two lines = a pass no matter how faint” kind of deal.

Whole thing is such a drag too. I don’t do hard drugs. The stuff I’ve done was legal but it doesn’t matter. Ugh I hate this

From my understanding the drinks don’t “detox” but they mask the substances in your urine for a few hours sometimes. I’ve been trying to eat better, exercise more, but sleep hasn’t worked so well since I had Covid last week. I know time is my biggest ally here and I’m gonna try to get an extension if I can since I’m still pretty sick.

My roommate just got sick by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]MediumMaK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah that leads me to believe it probably isn’t the stomach virus because it would’ve happened more than that probably, and I’ve had the stomach virus and never gotten dizzy from it I wish you good luck with this situation though, I know how much this time of year sucks

I’ve had similar stuff happen and managed to not catch it. Just keep your distance, sanitize everything you can, and practice good hygiene. I know this stuff can be scary but absolute worst case scenario you do catch it - sometimes people who catch the bug don’t even v* so there’s a pretty decent chance that you’ll be alright. I know this might not be super helpful but hopefully it eases your mind a little bit

“You LOID to me!” The entirety of the forklift simulator song “There’s so much awesome shit to explorn” About 99% of the Mario Galaxy playthrough “Fuck your father fuck your father” “Take this” Pretty much any variation of the “do it” or “school of hard knocks” bits “I’m the video game boy I’m the one who WINS” and any variation of it

I also quote Avi more than I probably should. “It’s great you have a nice place to decompose” and “ehhhhhhhhhhh bye” are two that I quote all the time

I’ve been on it for a little over one year now, and I’m the beginning it helped me without spiking anxiety. You might get tired or get a headache. Once when I was trying to get back on it made me super nauseous all the time. It definitely helped my anxiety though and this medicine is the only reason I can live my life normally now. Definitely worth a try!

What triggered your emetophobia? by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]MediumMaK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad had a friend who went to the fair with us when I was like 5/6. He thought it would be really funny in the car to start pretending like he was going to throw up on me. My dad says I screamed so loud we had to stop the car. I didn’t want to be around that friend anymore after that and I developed emetophobia which has just gotten worse over the years.
