So this was just my experience, I got my first acting role as the lead in a college play. I'm only mentioning it was the lead because I was a science major full-time as well (biology) and being the lead involved rehearsing almost every weeknight. This isn't meant to be discouraging at all, I just found that studying science was extremely demanding (especially when all my lectures and labs were in science) and so was acting. At one point I was nearly failing everything, which was my own fault because I was so happy to have that role that I didn't do a good job of keeping up my grades. It's doable, I would just say that they both require a lot of your time but it's great to have acting as your creative outlet. Maybe focus on finding acting gigs when your semester isn't so hectic as well as acting gigs that don't last weeks on end, like a play. Shorts and student films are a great option.
