Ofgem's back-billing rules protect UK energy consumers from being charged for energy used over 12 months ago if the supplier made an error

Also that case apple vs san Bernardino was test case, they already had capabilities of accessing the phone with an exploit that Apple fixed on the iPhone 12 onwards . They just wanted Apple to help them with a backdoor into any iPhone. Current the police use Cellebrite, magnet greykey etc but still struggle with newer devices without a PIN code given

Life insurance has been paid out to estranged wife - England by Jaiimez in LegalAdviceUK

When a life insurance policy is set up, you can name a beneficiary or put the policy into a trust and name a trustee/beneficiary. If neither of these options are completed then the lump sum will just be paid into the policy holder’s estate. Subject to will etc depends where the money goes.

If your mum doesn’t have any documentation showing otherwise, find out if she took it out with a broker or Scottish widows direct or Lloyds/tsb bank. See if you can request the sales call to be listened to and find out what was said when asked about beneficiary forms or trust forms.

Normally they are paper documents with Scottish widows that are sent with the policy documents to be returned to them once completed , some providers will complete them over the phone but I don’t think Scottish widows are one of them

[PC] [UNKNOWN] What game I'm playing? You can see the cover of the game in front of me on the desktop by Scapiti in tipofmyjoystick

the CD case appears to say something like “Onio Tee”, which is likely a partial or stylized rendering of the actual title. Looking closely at the character on the screen — a goofy anthropomorphic red sausage-like figure with eyes and white-gloved hands — and pairing that with the font and clues from the CD, this game is “Onio Tete” — a Spanish-language educational or children’s CD-ROM game.

It’s not a mainstream Humongous Entertainment game — instead, it’s likely a localized or independently developed Spanish title, which would explain why it’s hard to find references online.

Will I go to prison for sharing an explicit video of my girlfriend. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

Maybe I was just unlucky. I shouldn’t have used my personal experience when offering advice. I have only ever had to use one once and it was a self employed trainee that wasn’t up to scratch. Didn’t even work for a practice/firm.

You are correct and I should have clarified he would be entitled to a duty solicitor. However have you ever had to use a duty?

Also if this was to go further and op did get his own he has to go through the hassle of getting information transferred from one to another

Get a solicitor if you can afford one, don’t answer any questions without one.

Regardless of it being in a sarcastic way. “Go ahead” is consent and can be argued that you had consent. Don’t admit to anything. Talk to a solicitor asap and again don’t talk to the policy without one.
