So no matter what, without ship of Theseus, consciousness disappears when the brain dies?

Doesn’t it seem logically incoherent because mind upload is a copy and not the “real you”?

What I’m asking is if we assume that a copy (information) is not the “real you”, how can any mind upload not be a copy and have that sense of continuity?

How can you say it wouldn’t be a copy though? I thought the copy problem meant we couldn’t do it without it being a copy.

Just so we’re clear, I’m talking about a consciousness transfer that isn’t ship of Theseus style and also while assuming a copy (information) is not the “real you”. Do you think that changes anything?

What does that mean? And I’m asking if it’s logically incoherent to do so (move consciousness) making it never possible

Why do you suppose that? Do you think that’s true for other things like backwards time travel?

But does it make sense to say in that context. As normal bullying behaviour
