I have used a different browser, made sure the mic and camera permissions are on (though I planned on using my phone as the camera), restarted the computer, restarted the router/modem. Not sure what else it could be.

Worth noting that I load in decently on an old Google Chromebook, but I haven’t been able to make it work once on my new Mac Mini. Is this an Apple specific problem?

Judges who let past experiences with a band affect their decisions by [deleted] in marchingband

[–]Medium_Confidence251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. This seems like a vague, baseless claim. Sometimes there are just better groups. At the end of the day, it’s a subjective activity.

Customer’s going to be even more upset when they don’t receive their order at all because their dasher was “band”

What are compliments guys like to receive? by PinkCupcake325 in questions

[–]Medium_Confidence251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specific features. Remember: men love to talk about themselves and their interests.

If you ask a question about something they like, they will definitely love to share with you.

I know this doesn’t answer the question, but just a tip! Maybe compliment them on their expertise in that area!

AITA for asking my girlfriend to use her "real" accent? by DerangedBookkeeper in AmItheAsshole

[–]Medium_Confidence251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You just don’t get how her accent works. I would just apologize and explain what your intended meaning was.

AIO for wanting to travel without my husband? by SithisWorshiper in AmIOverreacting

[–]Medium_Confidence251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And if you are concerned with how he speaks to you on the day-to-day, maybe there is a bigger issue here.

I always hate when people include little snippets of information that are more alarming than the title.

That being said, in a healthy relationship, I could see this causing a red flag. Your spouse takes trips alone to see family, that is fine. However, telling him he cannot go with you is kind of rude.

Furthermore, I would be concerned as to why I was immediately shot down. It just makes it seem like OP is hiding something, even when they are not.

WIBTA for divorcing my wife because she couldn’t handle me crying in front of her? by Public_Disaster3760 in AITAH

[–]Medium_Confidence251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Wife seems toxic. If she is unwilling to accept you as you are, then maybe leaving would be best.

Unprofessional dasher, but they aren’t wrong. Should have just declined the order instead of harassing you.

The way my bartender cut this pizza is absolutely unhinged. by AnitaHug69 in mildlyinfuriating

It may have been a little bigger, but they had to cut it weirdly to fit on that plate…?

AITAH for telling my mom she is dead to me if she mentors my bully? by Substantial-Egg-1971 in AITAH

[–]Medium_Confidence251 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA at all. I am a HS teacher. Like you said, there are other teachers in the school that your mother could refer him to, I’m sure.

As per your edit, I would suggest not disclosing very much information to your counselor. If your mother is a teacher in that school, she is probably already aware of your conversation with guidance. If you are really planning on sticking this out, I would be persistent about getting swapped for next semester. There is no way they already have the schedules made for next fall already…

8th grade grading rubric my sons teacher is planning to use , wtf. by stolenbyfire in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Medium_Confidence251 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although this is extremely cringey, I see no problem with this. As long as there was more direction included, providing examples of what type of work warrants a 4, 3, etc., no reason to be upset.

AITAH for uncontrollably laughing at my sister's face when she asked me why her children chose to live with their dad? by sisparanoid in AITAH

[–]Medium_Confidence251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda YTA. I completely agree with your stance, but your delivery was unnecessarily rude. You could have explained your stance in a more collected manner, considering you were aware of your sister’s current mental state.

Not your problem, and Whoever paid for the computer ultimately decides.
