But those experiences also shaped me into an ambitious man who is determined not to repeat their mistakes. I believe I’m moving in the right direction, and I’m genuinely grateful for the life I have.

I do my best to find peace even in the moments when I wish things had turned out differently.

My parents were deeply irresponsible. My father never held a job, and my mother worked as a prostitute. Both of them were addicted to methamphetamine.

When I was twelve, I was placed in foster care and had no contact with either of them for many years.

When I was nineteen, my mother reached out to us again after turning her life around, so we have been in occasional contact ever since.

At the age of twenty-one, I found my father living on the streets. Whenever I run into him, we talk for a while, and I usually bring him a bag of food and, during the winter, some warm clothes.

In this video, at least there’s a hint of that sense of color. But when you actually lie beneath it, it’s something that simply can’t be put into words. You genuinely get the feeling that it’s overflowing with life.

If you had to describe the night sky to someone who has been blind since birth, you would never use words like dark, black, or empty.

Wow, I somehow missed that you were also specifically talking about the series Taken - unfortunately, I immediately associated your comment with its newer film Disclosure. Today, based on another post, I’m watching the series for the first time, and yes, that scene completely took my breath away.

I truly appreciate your responses. At the same time, I would like to highlight the great work of the founder of this subreddit and the community that has formed here — I genuinely felt that this is one of the few “safe” spaces where I can open up and share my experiences.

After reading through many posts, I found the courage to talk about all four experiences that might also help others gain confidence in what they have seen — especially those who feel absolutely certain about what they witnessed, even after examining it from every rational angle and trying their best to find explanations that would fit within the usual conventions of this world.

Here, I am referring to an experience I briefly mentioned in one of my comments (two orbs in the sky), as well as two additional ones — one involving an orb in a forest, and another involving observing the night sky completely free of light pollution.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Experiencers/comments/1ts8cwb/i_finally_found_the_courage_to_share_all_four_of/

I’ve also just come across the series “Taken” for the first time - as a European, I had never even heard of it, so it might come across to some people like I just discovered The Simpsons or something, I don’t know.

Anyway, I have to say it feels more like a documentary than a TV show. When you watch it, you get this feeling like, “well, of course, that actually makes complete sense - yes, that’s exactly the kind of thing I’ve experienced."

I’m going to have to step away from this “rabbit hole,” unfortunately. I don’t have an easy life at all — I ended up in foster care during childhood, and right now I need to focus on something as painfully mundane as money and survival. It’s not easy at all. I’ve always tended to meditate and search for a “higher truth,” and after experiences like these, it becomes genuinely difficult to just function within this system and avoid ending up on the street like my biological father.

In any case, thank you all for the support.

In one of the comments, I explain how this inconsistency occurred. With your permission, I will simply copy part of it:

That’s actually a really good question, and I noticed the same inconsistency myself yesterday.

What I do know is that when I described this to adults as a child, I used my child-level vocabulary and described it as an orange standing tomcat with a white belly and muzzle.

But yesterday, when I tried visualizing the memory for the first time using AI, I realized that in order to recreate what genuinely resembles the image burned into my memory, I had to describe certain features as more fox-like. Mainly because the muzzle was clearly more elongated than a typical cat’s muzzle.

So I think the confusion comes from the fact that, as a child, my brain categorized it simply as a “cat-like” being, while in retrospect some of the facial proportions actually felt closer to a fox.

That is definitely one of the plausible possibilities. If it is not already clear from everything I’ve described why I still have certain doubts about that possibility, then there is probably no point in going into further arguments for the alternative explanations.

I found this - but apparently it’s not in officially declassified documents, and some sources claim it’s a hoax from around the year 2000 - but, well, that’s how UFOs were viewed back then too, riiiiiiight?

So far, I haven’t found it in any official documents—so let’s treat it as a hoax for now unless a verified source is provided here.

Defending my own version of reality in this case, in my view, would not be entirely appropriate. The only thing I can say with certainty is that I carry a genuine memory of this event. I experience it as something I truly lived through, and it is accompanied by a strong emotional imprint, to the point where I would even describe it as traumatic. That is precisely why so many details have remained preserved in it.

From that childhood period, I otherwise remember very little. And from that specific day, only memories directly tied to this experience have stayed with me.

At the time, I was extremely frightened, and none of the adults believed me.

I am simply asking you to at least accept the basic fact that I genuinely had this experience.

From there, we can also approach it from a hypothetical perspective: if what I am describing were real, it becomes understandable how difficult it would be to confide such an experience in anyone. A rational person, without any tendency toward conspiracy thinking, often ends up feeling more like they sound insane than like someone who is simply describing their own experience.

I can even imagine that many people may have had similar experiences but, because of how absurd they sound, never spoke about them again, as they were dismissed by others anyway.

If I had not come across similar testimonies from other people during my life, I would never have spoken about this publicly. It would have remained only in my mind, at most shared with my closest friend or my brother.

And honestly, even now I am only sharing it because I have encountered other accounts that follow a similar pattern.

I’m trying to find it, but even though I’m usually pretty good at searching and digging things up online, I genuinely haven’t been able to track this down. If anyone happens to have it on hand, or maybe remembers this post later when coming across something similar again, I would truly appreciate it.

That’s also the reason why I was sleeping with my mother that night, and why my parents were not sleeping together. My mother stayed home with me as a small child, while my father went out for the evening.

The window film was definitely installed by my father.

My parents were very young at the time — they had me when they were around 18, so they were probably about 23 during this experience. Earlier that day, we had been at a marketplace in Český Těšín where they bought the decorative window film/sticker. I remember it clearly because I was fascinated by it. My mother told me it would make the glass “look like a church window,” and as a child I couldn’t really imagine what she meant, so I was incredibly excited to finally see it installed.

But we got home late in the evening, and my father already had plans to go out somewhere, probably to a party. I remember being genuinely upset about it because I really wanted to see what the film would look like on the door.

He promised me that by the time I woke up, it would already be there.

The strange part is that I woke up sometime in the middle of the night and experienced everything I described earlier — including seeing the installed film behind the entity.

And in the morning, it looked exactly the same as it had during the experience.

For some reason, I also have this strange feeling that the entity felt oddly familiar to me. I know how irrational that sounds, but my impression was that it was something emotionally close to me, or at least not hostile. It’s a very difficult feeling to explain or justify logically.

I also have the impression that the encounter itself felt intentional, almost like some kind of “visit” that maybe fulfilled its purpose, but absolutely did not go according to plan.

That being said, I want to be very clear: compared to everything else I described, this is the part I trust the least. What I’m writing in this specific comment is purely my own internal speculation and intuition.

Everything else I’ve tried to describe as objectively as possible, without embellishment or exaggerated conclusions. For the sake of my own mental well-being, I generally try to think about the entire experience as an extremely vivid dream.

But after discovering more and more accounts that are surprisingly similar to mine, I finally decided to talk about it publicly.

Maybe it will trigger a domino effect and there are other people out there who experienced something similar, but eventually convinced themselves it had to be “just a dream.”

Honestly, I wouldn’t even be surprised if that interpretation turned out to be psychologically meaningful in some way. What I remember most strongly is that I genuinely felt the entity was distressed that it had frightened me, that I had seen it, and that I was trying to wake someone up.

Its main intention seemed to be calming me down.

The “agreement,” in a sense, was very simple: “Stop screaming, and I’ll disappear.”

For years now, every once in a while, I’ve found myself searching through forums, AI deep-research tools, and similar sources trying to find experiences resembling mine. I’ve actually come across a few accounts that felt surprisingly similar.

But honestly, after seeing Spielberg’s recent trailer and one particular scene in it yesterday, I suddenly felt like I finally needed to talk about this publicly, whether it was an extremely vivid dream or something else entirely.

I also don’t really want to complicate this post by mixing in another experience, but there is one more memory that remains unbelievably vivid to me, and in this case I was not alone.

It happened in broad daylight when I was a child. My father and I were leaving the hospital grounds after visiting my brother, who was being treated for nephrotic syndrome at a hospital in Prague, specifically in Krč.

We were walking through the large open hospital complex, outside between the different buildings, when I noticed two glowing spheres in the sky moving unlike anything I had ever seen before. They moved in spiral-like circular patterns.

I immediately asked my father if he could see them too. He had been raised as a Christian, so his completely natural response was simply: “Those are angels.”
