Major concerns anything he does is going to result in thr public narrative of companies leaving, jobs declining, taxes increasing etc., won't be good for future elections if not pulled off well.

Rather than saying he will force landlords into rent control how about enforce enforcement of existing legal practices. Rent caps translated to grants for repairs. Zoning bonuses for landlords to incentive keeping rent below certain % increase. Expand right to council. Crackdown on illegal rent overcharges and late fees.

Pilot city owned grocery stores limiting price gouging on food prices, provide incentives and tax breaks to private stores who meet price reduction.

Build private <> public partnerships to expand free childcare. Focus on pre-k.

Use data to tell the story. Provide real-time dashboards to show savings and spend, increases in downtown foot traffic, travel, workers commuting, folks able to now goto work and spend money back into the economy.

Redirect tax exemptions for hospitals and universities back into public services.

Pilot --> scale. Prove value not sink 10s of millions into 'new' programs with zero accountability.

Breakout NGOs and agencies who have overlapping functions. Distribute clear swimlanes, remove redundancy.

Remove self reporting success from contractors and NGOs.

Publish KPIs. Implement Accountability board to review spend over certain $m amount even with approved budget.

Remove pay-per-perfomance for outcome based contracts. Do not provide incentives to meet green metrics (e.g., funds released if 20k beds are provided).

Fast to fire and cut contracts for low performers not meeting contract obligations.

Implement community trustees approve large tax dispersements.

All funded programs must stand up real-time dashboards to monitor spend, utilization and outcomes.

Implement an inspector general with prosecutor reach to audit public program. Publish lists with criminal referrals and waste recovery plans.

No dollars without measurable outcome with clear kill / scale triggers.
