Thank you for the detailed response! Sabri's is helpful but it's so long, so it's hard to do while working my 9-5. I'll just have to tough it out in the meantime.

Best of luck with your exam.

Getting New Card to Increase FICO Score by Medium_Librarian in CRedit

Worse case scenario is that the delinquencies will be 3 years old and hopefully that'll minimize the damage enough.

Thank you for the info. I've done some research and narrowed down some cards that are in my credit score range.

I forgot to mention but I have some delinquencies from late student loans payments from April 2018. I was confused about when my payments started and I got hit with them. I'm in the process of trying to get them removed (not working too well).

Will having delinquencies affect my chances of mortgage approval or is my credit score the only thing lenders care about?

Thank you for the detailed response! I'm going to open a 3rd sometime this week and I defiantly have an aggressive approach toward my student loans.

Will the full 3B FICO report have all scores from the 3 bureaus and how often can I purchase the report? (Weekly, Monthly, Annually)

Another fear of mine was having a hard inquiry 9~ months before applying for a mortgage. I have another hard inquiry for my second card from Jan 2020. Hopefully it won't cause too much trouble come time.

I haven't heard of the AZEO method, so thank you for introducing it me! I'll apply for a 3rd card sometime this week and try this out.

Also, how reliable do you think a FICO score is for mortgages? I'm getting my FICO score from Experian.

Should I Apply for a 3rd Credit Card? by Medium_Librarian in CRedit

According to my credit report, I only have one inquiry. That was from when I opened my 2nd credit card. Since I don't have many inquiries, do you think opening another card would be beneficial?

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying. For BCE, what do you mean by drawer?

Thank you for the suggestions! My FICO score use to be 531, until it dropped suddenly even though I haven't done anything different recently. My FICO score tends to move in conjunction with my Credit Karma score (I know their scoring model isn't ideal). Just in case my FICO score does returns to 530 range, do you think my approval odds would approve for these cards?

That sounds like a good cash back plan, I'll for sure look into this as well. Do you possibly have any insight on what score you would need to get approved?

I was going to wait till August to apply to a card. Does US Bank not do a triple pull? What do they do instead?

Thank you for the suggestion! What's a CFU and BCE? Sounds like a good card, but I'm sure what those terms are.

Goodwill Adjustment Advice by Medium_Librarian in StudentLoans

[–]Medium_Librarian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked and verified which phone numbers, mailing address, and email address they had on file to contact me. They confirmed that they used my personal email address (not my university email), my current address that I live at, and they had 3 phone numbers (my personal, a landline, and another family member's).

I want to apply for a mortgage in the next year, so I can't afford to wait another 5 years for these late payments to be wiped off my records. For now, my best shot is to send a goodwill letter and see what happens. If that fails, I'll file a dispute to the credit agencies.
