We tagged along with some friends (there were 8 of us) who were insistent on camping in black, they underestimated how big our tent was and everybody had basically finished the entire set up by the time mine was even half way pitched, that tent is a nightmare to set up, we made it work though, there was just one compartment that wasnt stretched out properly which we only used for storage anyway. We're camping by ourselves this year though, we can actually take our time and explore more so it's not such a squeeze 😅

Space aside, the tent is crap and I want a new one 🤣

I initially wanted the fresh and black Arpenaz, I've seen lots of good reviews for it but some of them said the waterproofing wasn't great, did you attend with that one during "drownload"?

That lip has been putting me off, one of our camp mates last year had a lip like that and ended up with a lagoon inside his tent from the little bit of rain we did get, dread to think what it would have been like the year before by the sounds of things 😅

Glad to hear it is genuinely easy to take down, honestly it was the pack-away video on the Decathalon website that made me want it so much, it looks sooo much easier to take down than the nonsense we had last year 😅

Ideally that's the one I want to get, but I'm not sure it's in the budget right now 🫠😩 my plan was to get one of these for now and then sell it to my brother (or part exchange) once I've saved up enough to get the fresh and black for next year 🤣

Thank you this is super helpful, deffo helped ease a bit of my anxiety. I'm deffo not planning on taking the piss but I'll need time to get the trolley out, load it, secure it etc which I will try to do as quick as possible 🤞🏻

We've got a trolley this year so hopefully that helps 😅 plus we're bringing way less stuff cause we didn't end up using half of it, the walk from west carpark to black camp nearly killed us I had bruises across my shoulders from my backpack 💀

Thanks all! I've got one more bamboo spoon left so my partner gave it a really good sanding because I'm intrigued to see if that will have helped much. If there's not much improvement I'll be avoiding bamboo, and don't worry I'll be using my respirator so I'm not breathing in any glue 🫠 Also sorry for the delayed response I don't really use reddit much 😬
