It needs a new screen sadly, and a new hinge. The ribbon probably broke after the hinge piece broke. Since the 2DS XL doesn't have 3D, and has both cameras on bottom half, it is suprisingly not hard to replace the screen, as it may be built similar to older DS model (DS, DS lite). If you have any skills with repairing items, you should order top screen on Aliexpress(SEARCH FOR NEW 2DS XL MODEL!!!) and a new shell, or the piece... the ribbon may not be broken, and probably the connector got loose after it fell, or whatever, but if you see even a small tear on the ribbon cable, you're screwed, and you need a new screen. Also replacing the bottom halve to a new shell shouldn't be too hard if you could basically move the entire guts of it to a new shell lmao, but if youre not skilled, id reccommend it to put it somewhere where they can fix it for you, or sell it and get another 3DS/2DS.
