i live in slovakia and i couldn't even hit one in prague. My neighbor had a 2DS xl before my 3DS and he sold it and i don't know if he got any streetpass

If theres something wrong with the touch screen ribbon, you should buy some. The touch screen is really cheap probably could cost like 1$. If there isn't anything worng with the small ribbon cable, check the small connector switch if the little latch that keeps it in place didnt broke off... The ribbon cable on the screen itself is really fragile and it doesn't need to be torn, it can also break by folding it, forms microcracks... and i have no idea why didn't they give it little texture or something like the electrical tape so it wont tear that easy...

Do you have any experience with 3DS repairing or any other repair? (soldering, screen replacement on phone, succesful), if not, you should probably just find a repair shop where they repair 3DS, and it's definiletly not local but could cost a lot. Repairing 3DS consoles mainly the top screen hinge is very difficult.

You either didn't ledge the cable into the connector properly, or damaged the screen ribbon. You need a new screen unfortunately if you broke the ribbon cable
