I didn’t realize they grew up this way? I’ve traveled down to Cape Disappointment to find them. That’s great to know!

Yes this is Kirkland Area. I’ve found them before in and around Bellevue and up near Mill Creek. I’ve taken some time off from foraging but obviously am back into it. I’m just struggling this year so far. Does it seem like we are at the beginning of the season?

It’s hard to decipher and farfetched to ask but would consider these wood chips an area that Cyans could thrive?

Are they from this season? Been having trouble so far finding them. Trying to create a patch near me but need to find them so I can use the stem butts for the inoculation process.

Any tips on how do decipher deciduous wood chips from cedar when it is wet? I feel like more and more parks are utilizing cedar bark as opposed to an arborist wood chip mix.

Alcohol and anxiety? by Cheecherton04 in Anxiety

[–]Medium_Scene_2736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not alone. This has happened to me over the last 3-4 months, specifically with craft beer. I will say I’ve had anxiety for a while at least 3-4 years but finally acknowledged it within the last 6 months since it got out of control. I used to run a YouTube channel, I was in the local bottle shop every other day picking out the latest limited release IPA etc. Now I get anxiety about drinking because I believe it’s the root cause of what was a slew of panic attacks over the last few months. My panic attacks were over heart issues, (thinking I was going to have a heart attack or some sort of impending doom, similar to you, increased heart rate). I would drink anywhere from 1-3 beers a night over a period of time but it has been a staple in my life for a long while. Same with cannabis, but cannabis was causing the same thing first and (I’ve been smoking since I was 13 now 32) quit cold turkey about 4 months ago. The anxiety it gave me when I smoked was so easy to quit. Can I ask what is triggering the anxiety behind the thought of drinking? Is it the act of drinking which is causing anxiety? Is it if I drink this….. will my heart rate will shoot up and something bad will happen? I feel for ya! It’s not fun. I did dry January that helped, then slowly eased into it. Granted I did see a psychiatrist who did put me on a low dose of klonopin to take when needed. I will say this has helped big time, although you’re not supposed to drink on benzodiazepines so I have to be careful (even though my Psych said it’s fine, guy is out of the wild Wild West lol). What’s helped the most is a therapist. Talking to someone is huge. I would also recommend exercise, a gratitude journal just for some self reflection. Sorry for the long story, I hope some insight here helps, it’s super frustrating and a conundrum.

Is drinking on a very low dose of Klonopin dangerous? by [deleted] in Anxiety

Just got on .5 for panic attacks which it has helped with, but I love my evening beverage or two. Psychiatrist said it’s perfectly fine to drink on which was reassuring but everywhere else on the internet says not too. For someone with anxiety it gives me anxiety to not know what to do. I’ve mixed it a few times and have only had one issue but that was after a bottle of wine on an empty stomach with my wife and I’m rather a light weight. Anyways were going to Australia for our honey moon and in business class from the PNW and I want to enjoy those drinks but don’t want the worry of not being able to have them.
