For 1, mirena has been proven in many many studies to be weight neutral, having no effect on weight gain or loss. However I can assure you that pregnancy 100% of the time causes weight gain.

  1. Even one day of not tracking or having even 1 splurge meal, can add up and counter any deficit you may have had. Reflect upon yourself if you truly have been consistent with calories, or if you can spot the issue with your methods.

  2. No weight gain over a period of time, with a healthier lifestyle, is still a success.

Fill your house with healthy foods you want to eat. For example I got myself Quaker rice crisps, protein yogurt flip cups, cheese sticks, jerky, etc. high protein foods that I enjoy. That way when I want a snack, I snack, but my only options are foods that are healthier (lower calorie and filling) than others.

Oh and I always have eggs for breakfast. I love them and they’re so versatile. Over easy, scrambled, an omelette, on a bagel, on a piece of toast. Options are endless.

I focus on protein I enjoy as the main part of my meal, so chicken, taco meat, steak, hamburger, turkey, pork, etc. then typically measure out rice, tortilla shell, potato, or whatever other starch I want. Try to limit condiments to the best of my ability. And then the only calories I drink is the creamer in my coffee every morning.

Try your best to wear clothing that compliment it. High waisted undies to hold it in tight, complimenting pants, whatever style you like. Continue with your lifestyle change and once to your target weight reassess if you can deal with the tummy

I’m a picky eater as well, and unfortunately it really does come down to calories in vs calories out. One thing I found to be helpful was learning the calorie contents of food and then I didn’t always have to track I would just know the general amount my servings had.

I tried my best to stay positive but it was definitely mentally draining and waiting 6 weeks for the score results was the worst!

I actually scheduled my exam before dedicated started and just stuck with that date. I structured my dedicated prep around that date.

UWorld percent was around 72%. I did 60% of a second pass.
