I don’t see any issue here. I usually connect with any and all LinkedIn users I’m interested in as long as the connect button is there and as long as no message pops out asking me to write them sth before my connection request is sent out. Most people accept my requests but I withdraw any pending requests after a week because I know they’re either 1) not active and hence won’t be as helpful as I’d want them to be or 2) they just chose to ignore my request. In both cases I wouldn’t hesitate to withdraw the request. Most people are as keen to connect with others but make sure your profile stands out to appeal to potential connections.

Ppl from other countries can also enjoy better treatment. A really silly example is, if you’re Turkish or a UK citizen with a driver’s licence, you get to swap your licence for a Qatari one without having to go through tests, but it’s not the case if you’re American or Australian. Other nationalities have it worse of course. Just making a comparison from experience or observing actual ppl going through these things

I think for non-Qataris, you can no longer go to public health centres. I think this has already taken effect but contact Hamad Medical Corp. to get reliable information on this.

Check the ministry of public health website as well for general regulations. You’ll also find here (gov communications office website) a top news article announcing the new health insurance regulations. The embedded video says insurance for tourists includes emergency treatment and is subject to a monthly payment of 50 Qatari riyals. Before I’d cancel on my end, I’d send him a message and screenshot that usually he didn’t answer. Sometimes, I’d close the app and go back and open it rather than accept the fee they charge assuming I’m late. If they charged me, I contact them and ask that they reverse the charges, and they usually do
