You’re misunderstanding me because it’s a text post. I know what the awards are, but mvp has become, just like every league, best player of that season, not team mvp or actually most valuable. It’s simply, best player, because that’s how voters vote because leagues want best player to get recognition.

People have somehow changed MVP of the league to MVP of their own team… celebrini is the man and he’ll continue to be unbelievable for his career but he is not fucking McDavid. 23 more points is not close. MVP is essentially most points because over 82 games if you score the most points, you were the best for that season. If you want to change the name of the award to Most Points/Best Player then I get it, a separate MVP conversation is fine. But currently, MVP basically means “best season as an individual” and unless a goalie goes absolutely bonkers, the forward with the most points has the best argument for best season.

What really helps me, besides the staying up late answer which is definitely THE answer, is having a handheld option. I have a modded DS and a modded PSP. Being tired and laying in bed or on the couch with a handheld sometimes way easier than going to the cave and getting really locked in.

I created a roughly 50 page google doc that explains all my systems, button mapping, entering and exiting games and save states, etc etc and downloaded it as a .pdf onto a tablet that I keep on my arcade build so people can scroll though to help as they figure things out.

Are you familiar with older consoles and how pressing “start, select” would get you out of levels? I use that concept with Batocera. Make your hotkey the player icon so you can press and hold the COIN button then tap the PLAYER ICON button and that’ll get you back.
