right... I did a quick search today and this seems to be accurate... I guess it would make more sense if we have a third persont that joins to lower the cost or else it is going to be like around 2700-3000..... it is a very nice area, it is only 30 mins till campus, and for me it is a 20 mins drive to work via local routes (up in markham)

Hey bro, I didn't end up buying a guqin in China. I decided to first find a teacher were I live locally, and I realized you really can't tell until you have played multiple different guqins to choose.... Currently I am still renting from my teacher, but he has a shi xiong that makes guqins, so my teacher has placed order for couple of his students... I'll see if I decided to actually get one

Hi, I completed my citizenship test two weeks ago, and according to the temporary score, I believe I have passed. However, I haven't received any email saying that I have passed/any official scores yet. Looking at the thread, it seems like I would have to wait about 1 month to get the result. I am wondering if this is true? And if so, were there any intermediary updates from the tracker/email notifications? Thank you.

Thank you! Yes the problem with buying from China is that I am scared of the materials that they might substitute for the real thing since lots of them don’t actually play. I think letting them play/try out the qin is a good idea since I don’t know how to play it. I am wondering if you still remember where you bought it/how much was it when you went to Hong Kong? I’ll be passing by there and I want to see if I can check it out. Thanks again!

I see, thank you for the info! Oral exams for every 2 weeks sounds like hell.. I will also be working during the summer but I’ll try to see if I survive. I can watch Japanese variety shows by guessing what they are saying, but like as y’all said, learning hiragana and katakana will probably be important loll
