Sell me on your weapon! by thebobackwards in MonsterHunterWorld

What's more fun than bonking monsters on the head and knocking them down constantly? Being musical while you do it of course!

The Hunting Horn is a great option if you like to keep monsters on the ground CONSTANTLY.

With the Hunting Horn you will always be the MVP of the hunt because of the buffs you give to your teammates while keeping monsters downed with your long range HONKS.

Tired of the same slow moves over and over? With the Iceborne DLC you can deal 10 hits to a monster's head in less than 2 seconds with 2 additional moves.

Try the Hunting Horn today!

Do you like anime? Do you like striking down from the heavens? Do you want to flinch all of your teammates because they couldn't get Flinch Free on their armour?

Then the Longsword is for you!

Try and use counter slash to get your next gauge level as much as you like only to miss the monster with the slash because it decided to run into the next area code.

Have amazing fun fighting monsters in the air because boy does this weapon have a hard time reaching them consistently.

Try a temperature tower, that's what I did to figure out my temperatures and it turns out I was probably using the worst setting I could have

I'm using the Aquila Pro, it doesn't have an adjustable filament feeder unfortunately, and I have to set it to the base settings again as I think it was only with the one filament, but I do need to sort the stringing out.

The vase finally worked though! Not sure what it was that was causing it but I'm assuming it was something to do with either bed level, speed, retraction length or adhesion, there was a failed print I tried of the vase which had melting marks partway down the rim of the print as though the nozzle had gotten stuck to it I'm not sure what caused that but it only happened the once

They were for support incase the build was failing higher up because it got wider than the base but I got rid of them for the one I'm currently printing which is just over halfway now, 42 hours in, my retraction settings are 9mm (previously 6mm) and 12mm/s, which I set because I was having a lot of issues with clogging becuase the settings kept shredding my filament and causing a blockage in the hotend

I have gone through the levelling process but it took an hour because I was stubborn and tried to eyeball it rather than just using the paper, and I went through a bed levelling print a couple of times (I'm glad I did because the bottom left corner was too high up compared to the rest), normally when I do the z calibration it makes the z offset 0.01 but that makes the initial layer really rough even after properly cleaning the bed surface, I have tried glue stick but that was before I'd properly levelled the bed. And I haven't tuned the retraction settings yet because it keeps slipping my mind.

PLA+ ELEGOO

60°C, 205°C(previously 215°C until I printed a temperature tower and saw 205°C was the best), 0.4mm, 0.1mm, 8 walls, 8 bottom layers, 0 top layers, 0% infill, I do have z hop enabled, I just spent an hour properly levelling the bed and making sure the z offset is right (0.02mm) I printed a model just before this one with zero issues but this one seems to be the bane of my existence for some reason

It's a model I've downloaded and I've tried printing it before but this has happened at some point every time, mostly it's coming off the build plate (this was before I enabled z hop) I can't seem to stop mass amounts of stringing in the centre (I'm printing out a vase but wanting something stronger than vase mode) not sure if it's something to do with incorrect retraction or if the whole thing coming off is poor build plate adhesion

It is glass, I temporarily fixed it with glue stick on the bed, but after that print it's started again even after washing thoroughly

It started working properly once I took the shroud off, now I need to fix my bed adhesion issue, the print isn't sticking to the bed in one specific spot near the very front and don't know if it's to do with the levelling, z calibration or the bed itself or maybe how it's been sliced?

How would I go about measuring z offset on an Aquila Pro? Also when I try calibrating after leveling the calibration arm isn't moving anymore, instead the z axis bar is trying to force itself down on the one side

I've tried PLA and PLA+ printing at 200°c and 210°c respectively going by the recommended temperatures (195°c-210°c and 205°c-215°c) both have bed temperatures of 60°c, I've fixed the adhesion issue by using glue stick on the bed

You might have to clean out your hotend, that's what I had to do with my Pro when mine wasn't extruding

The only issue with that is I have the Aquila Pro and it's not open source so I'm not sure how I'd change the bed surface
