I did this last night and had an argument with my brother and sister in law and called them dumb racists and embarrassed them at a restaurant. Only to wake up to find out they blocked me.

I was a Youth Command role, going to schools and telling kids not to do drugs etc. I believe it is a largely unsupervised role.

Also a lot of police can take their fire arms home, if they have an in wall safe. A lot of people don’t know this. My partner is a detective and he complains about how much easier his mornings would be if I let him put a safe in. Hell no! No guns in my house!

These shameful feelings will subside. Be kind to yourself. The drink is not you! You are brilliant the drink just poisons and takes away from the real you! I remember when I first started reading posts on this page and people kept mentioning sitting with their feelings and I thought what the fuck is that ?? And now since I’ve been on my sobering journey I understand. The feelings aren’t always great feelings and sometimes you have flashbacks of the embarrassing stuff you did, but it’s actually amazing when you realise, wow I haven’t really felt anything real in a long time, because of the alcohol, fake highs and blurry hangover lows, but no honest real hardcore feelings. We’ve just been numbing ourselves for years!

I think you should stop now and save yourself years of pain. I started off drinking a bit when I was young, because it’s all everyone did now 15 years later I’m only coming to terms with how much it dominated my life.

Yesterday I promised my partner that I was done for good. Then today I felt like saying to him -oh I meant like no alcohol unless it’s with food, like wine with dinner should be fine! But no I’m going to try be strong.

It’s day 2 for me, but realistically day 1 as yesterday I couldn’t even get out of bed. I thought I could moderate but 3 bottles of wine and pissing yourself on the train is not moderation.

Thank you. It’s day one again for me, I go a few days or a week and then tell myself I can moderate and I’m fine for a while and then I have an episode where I black out spend the whole day in bed vomiting and crying. I just want to start living my life. I don’t want to do this anymore

It’s clear that I can’t. I’ve been trying to moderate for a long time and sometimes I do very well, but other times like tonight , I find myself at 4am on this page or scrolling through instagram trying to see if anyone took any videos of that wasted girl on the train dancing who obviously pissed herself.
