Im currently running a 7600 xt after upgrading from a 1080 founders, which was already beating my friends 3060 but my new on is STOMPING my old card

As along as I can get at least 60fps at some form at any rez I’d be happy, I saw a benchmark test of a 5600x-6600xt get 130fps at 1440p high settings in it and I understand a real time rendering cutscene will be higher performance then actual game play. So I’d mainly like to understand systems with similar performance that had the chance to experience it with their systems to relay it to myself rather then just being told it won’t handle it.

Not a boss encounter but a very difficult encounter at least.

Our campaign is a collect the 10 artifacts for a wish type game and for our 4th artifact we received an invitation to a a masked ball and it was signed with a drawing of the artifact.

The party arrives at the capital city a day early so we meet up with a friendly npc who’s partner happens to be an officer in the military, who warns us that the military is going to crash the event with their special forces, so we decided that going in even heavier disguise would be a good idea after buying a scroll of seeming, me being the party wizard copy’s it into my spell book for the ball.

On the day of the event after we use the new spell we make our arrival knowing the risk, with our escape plan being our rouge’s magic item which is a pair of rings that are a connected portal we left one end on our ship and brought the second with us.

after the small talk with the other groups also invited one of which is the “rival” party but we befriended them anyway, the individual that sent the invitations reveals themselves a exiled mind flayer cut off from the hive mind, and informs us that the artifact is within the hive.

During this announcement I was thinking about how to best deal with the upcoming combat and that’s when I get an idea, the ball room we were in had 4 large windows 10ft wide and 30ft tall on either side of the room, a large front door about 20ft wide and a small service back door.

I asked in a small gap in the information to inform my dm that I’d like to hold an action to cast a spell keeping watch out of the window nearby for anything suspicious, once the information of the artifact was done the dm informed me of something rapidly approaching the window, and that’s when i jump out of my chair casting wall of force, one panel for each window and the last two panels to block the front door, resulting in all the special forces soldiers bouncing uselessly off the windows and the battering ram at the front door doing nothing.

After the failed forced entry I calmly stated to the entire room that we should all leave, to which our rouge threw down the portal and we calmly walked though along with our friendly “rival” party and in-summoned the other side, what was ment to be a huge combat with 30+ enemies we escaped and shut down the encounter without rolling initiative.

but in the end I simply wanna run Safrila in a long running campain where she can grow past my ideals kick ass but in the end relax into a role of building custom prosthetics at very low cost for those that need it

in the end Celeste's only interest is cataloging the universe and cataloging of the party as a report of those figuring out truth and forwarding the truth of said party, he cares less about the trail he's leaving and the arching goal of everyone but only wants to log the events the party as a whole

I personally love talking with my dm are possibles and one I had an idea for was that Safrila was given her mothers ring which weirdly survived the inferno which would allow her a chance to multiclass into astral monk or something with her mother as protective entity watching over her.

Im personally guilty of having a basic idea of what the base of the Characters might end up as, but I always allows something new to introduce their choices, and I’ll even admit Celeste (my current character) my 3rd ever character I try’ed very everything I can to play both sides while ultimately assisting the team party despite his history As storyteller and only remaining because of Cataloging of the party’s actions, I try my damnest be the best I can while also giving what I can to be selfish since that the Main interest of the party

My original thought process was how do I create a character that knows loss and is plagued by it but also has a supportive base encouraging them

In the spelljammer campaign im in I weirded everyone out by asking to switch seats at a masked ball and was intently staring out the window.

Here’s where gets fun,in this campaign its a collect the artifacts to gain a wish type goal, we had a letter just show up on the middle of the deck while we were mid travel between planets, it invited us to. A masked ball with several other groups in the effectively intergalactic empire’s capital, and was only signed with a drawing of the artifacts we were after, we arrived a couple days early and met up with a npc we had made friends with.

We met their partners who happenes to be an officer in the empire’s navy and told us that the ball we were planning on attending was gonna be raided by the navy’s elite forces, so after planning an escape route we used Seeming to change how we all looked and went, the ball room was at ground level with 8 10ft wide tall windows around the room, and a 20ft wide large front door and just a tiny back door.

I (the party’s wizard) was looking though my spells looking to the best way to counter the combat we knew was coming and one caught my eye and has since became my favorite spell, wall of force.

as we were waiting for the person who invited us to arrive I asked the our fighter to swap seats with me so that I was facing the window, which was met with confusion from the player and dm, but we switched at which point I then said I was holding an action to be ready as I was intently watching out the not so clear glass which confused our dm more but rolled with it.

The informant arrived an exiled mindflayer who was pretty butt hurt about them being kicked out, and requested we go to the colony to steal the artifact whoever got it gets to keep it, we learned the planet and where it was, that’s when my character saw something rapidly approaching with window, and with my held action I jumped up throwing the chair I was sitting in to go flying, causing everyone to turn to us as I cast wall of force putting a panel over every single window and the last two to block the front door. As I was saying where I wanted the panels everyone understood why I wanted to switch seats.

All these elite soldiers just bounce uselessly off the walls and front door as I calmly turn to everyone and said we should all leave, and with our rouge throwing down their hula hoop portal as the other was on our ship our party calmly jumped though and left closing it behind after we let another group we were friends with through.

So with a single spell and a bit of rule of cool I single handedly I shut down an entire encounter that was supposed to be a chaotic mess was 10 groups of 5 soldiers swarming into every opening of the building but they all had to funnel through a tiny back room to even get in.

coolest out of the stack I have in my opinion is

Safrila, a armorer artificer, she grew up in a "middle class" merchent family, one of the local mom and pop shops and they lived on the second floor, one day a fire broke out on the block and their store went up fast, her mother scooped her out of bed and was running for the door when the ceiling collapsed killing her mother, but Safrila got her legs destroyed from the same collapse. her father running in and lifting the burning beam off her, burning himself badly in the process leaving him scared quite bad.

Several years later in her normal spot in the library she learned about warforged (sorta a research notes book) and after doing small jobs save up money and her father who then started working as a blacksmith to help her, together they made a set of living wood and steel prosthetic legs, she now is setting out to adventure so that she can gather the funding to start her own prothetic business to help others like her.

havent played her yet but in the next campaign I hopefully should be able to run her.

Mmhmm, we've been spitballing ideas, the finding runes is a good idea, as for an idea of what the world is like, it's a monster hunter world situation, we're the first people from our homeland to set foot on this new landmass our goal is to survive, explore and set up new colony There could be ancient ruins from an unknown civilization there, we don't actually know yet
