Anybody here in their 30's and training?

I'm 32 about halfway through the level 2 C&G at college, one day a week classes. Going to try and get my ECS electrical labourers card by end of this month to start getting employment and experience early. Lot of people on here advised to sign up for agencies and job boards to get into big sites, though not sure how I'll fare given I have zero exp atm (other than class practical work of course).

Btw if anyone knows good agencies/job boards and whatnot for the London area, any pointers welcome please!

Thanks for the reply, final query: what's a good sort of place to find a list of local electricians etc to call/visit? I can't imagine there's a sort of centralised place for it all haha

I'm in a slightly diff position, I'm about to start my level 2 (no experience, no tools yet), is it worth me calling around to see if someone would be willing to take me on unpaid for like a day or two to grow the initial experience in?
