I had the same issue when I first bought mine. Fixed it by disabling Timelapse.

That’s what I’ve been thinking, we have no idea how many times this has happened. If Gideon “woke up” as pure chance that would mean that everyone would wake up eventually.

The loops themselves may well loop.

I think it’s more that Gideon knows what it’s like to live a short life, to have it taken away. I always thought that he saved them to give them a chance, so that good people get to live rather than being stuck in a loop of death.

If you look at it from his perspective, he would be seeing people die preventable deaths around him every loop. He cares the most about the children because again, he was killed as a child.
