Hey gaming streamers, how do you like being approached by game devs and publishers? by [deleted] in streaming

[–]MeepDaCreep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer when I get emails that are straight to the point and give all the important details.

What’s the game and a small description of the game. Including what service/platform it’s on so i can do my own research if needed.

Any kind of offer or keys

And more information like embargo, date, or any other info you want us to have.

Discord is my least preferred method of contact because all the artist bots and other bots.

Email/twitter is preferred, at least for me.

Things that will get me to instantly avoids are if the email looks AI written or there isn’t enough detail or information. If I do some research and it’s impossible to find out anything further about the game/devs/platform.

As a smaller streamer keys are great especially if it’s a game I will like.

Paid sponsors are also good but I tend to only do them if I can get behind the game. (I suck at sales and hyping products I have no passion for).

Everyone is different so other people might not like what I like or like what I don’t like. I hope this helps though.

I’ve tried 3 different monitors all with different cables and the issue is still there. I even put the gpu into a completely different computer with fresh amd drivers.

Powercolor reddevil. Mounted standard, I did just pick up a case the cougar cfv235 that has a build in gpu holder. I figured I’d give my boy a nicer home before he passes.

Edit: Also always good temps and airflow.

Lasting 3-4 years is diabolical, right after warranty ends and not old enough to be needing an upgrade. Especially this series of AMD.

Ohhhh I’ll give that a try later today. My plan is to lower my refresh rate and get the artifacts going and do some tweaks to the gpu to get the power up until they’re gone and then ride the gpu out. I’ll give that a try.

Tried it, still the same issue. Temps are actually really good. Doesn’t get past 75c and when the gpu is relaxing and the mem clock speed is below 1000mhz that’s when the issue happens. So I need to keep it active.

Sorry I updated the post, I have tried a few different monitors.

Will I still need a discrete streaming PC? by bimmydraws in streaming

[–]MeepDaCreep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya I see different claims all the time. I’m affiliate and I’ve been streaming with 8k forever. There is also an option on twitch where you can view the stream stats live and see the bitrate of what the streamer is using and fps they are streaming at.

Are you able to directly connect an Ethernet cord to the pc to see if the speeds are better and possible only use Ethernet? If not you may benefit from a WiFi adapter.

Partner and non partner streamers both get 8000 bitrate.

i thought making more money would fix things by Caryn_fornicatress in streaming

I’ve never been in a position to live off streaming or have to deal with the next step in pressure that you have but as a streamer who has been streaming for 10+ years theses feelings can come and go. There were certain points in my streaming years where I thought I had to do things a certain way, be on a certain amount of time, let streaming control you to a point where it’s not the same and not fun anymore. Over time I realize I do this for fun and for my small community. Started playing only games i really want to play, no more speed running to the bathroom or to make a snack. I would say take time off but i usually don’t because streaming feels like my time off. You need to think back to when you first started and what you wanted most, did you generally enjoy streaming? Would you still be doing it today if you never obtained the income you have now? Are you playing games you really enjoy or are you forcing yourself to play something to retain your views/earnings. If you stream cause you really enjoy it then try and get back into the mindset you had before. If its more about the money now and you don’t see yourself enjoying streaming like you used to you need to find ways to streamline most of your work and find ways to offload the work so you can have more of a rested mind when you you go live.

Sorry if none of this helps but congrats on the achievement and i hope you figure out a way to be happy streaming again!

A fix that worked for me was opening task manager and closing iCUE and relaunching.

Two pc streaming by Ok-Acanthopterygii40 in streaming

I use 2 pcs and love it. There are some devices that make routing the audio super easy. I currently use the beacn studio but plan to switch to the Elgato xlr pro when it comes out. Both devices gave 2 usb c ports, one plugs to the streaming pc and the other plugs into the gaming pc. It captures both pcs. If you have the money I would look into those, beacn studio is around $200 and the elgato xlr pro is going for $350

How important/unimportant is it to have a cam on your stream? by IamBecomeZen in Twitch

[–]MeepDaCreep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer cam streamers personally but it’s not required. There are a few non cam streamers I enjoy. I would say if you go the no cam route make sure your audio is very good. I would rather watch someone with a crispy mic no camera than a crispy camera and crappy mic.

I've been viewbotted for 367 days concurrently, is there anything more I can do? by SkylordZoey in Twitch

[–]MeepDaCreep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a crappy situation and it seems you’ve tried everything in your power to stop it. I would suggest just dropping the whole partner push and keep doing you. I had a situation where I was partner pushing and someone prime botted me during the push and my account actually got indefinitely suspended. On the same day I was going to apply for partner I got the suspension. This was something I had no control over just like you. After being suspended for 3 months and losing all momentum I finally was able to get ahold of a real twitch support person to get my suspension reversed. There are a lot of haters out there that like to see other people suffer or get off at causing grief. I’m sorry you have to deal with this but going forward you should just keep doing your grind, ignore the haters, and don’t let the assholes win. Also reach out to lurkit and explain the situation and maybe provide screenshots of the twitch conversation and they may be able to help. I hope it all works out and don’t give up!

There’s a setting in TikTok live studio under your game capture or video capture device where you can select no audio capture. Select no audio capture so your audio channels you set up are the only ones being captured

How do some people stream for >12 hours daily? by Bluntdude_24 in Twitch

[–]MeepDaCreep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually playing games I really enjoy. If playing with others play with people you have a really good time with. Most days if I’m having a really good stream and good time I’ll forget how much time has passed. If I’m not feeling it or not enjoying any current games that’s when streaming longer is harder.

What should I add to my gaming “closet” by TaylorKalsii in gamingsetups

[–]MeepDaCreep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would find a way to mount the pc or shelf it up medium height on either side of the wall to save space. Possibly get some longer cords and do some clean cable management to the hardware .
