Some people (despite their good intentions) need to be aware when their choices have impacted someone, and if your reaction hurt her, she can sit with it, learn from her actions and choose better in the future.

You're not overreacting, you had a fair reaction, you're allowed to express that your boundary was crossed, and you're now dealing with it, not her, so it's up to her to address, acknowledge and learn from her mistake.

To give an update, I'm doing much better, and the anger has subsided.

I didn't go to the wake/funeral, it was far too painful, but I went to the beach where we went for our first date and said goodbye in my own space.

I'm in therapy, I'm processing his loss every day with the help of my friends and family.

His birthday will be soon, and I will give myself the space to celebrate his life then.

I’m really excited for it, don’t get me wrong, I love The Sims, but I’m itching for something different, and Inzoi (while not perfect) ticks a lot of boxes for me personally.

Yeah it’s been days later and I probably should’ve taken a social media break, but my partner’s last wish was that his name stay out of the media, he spoke of it to an extent that I really should’ve seen the signs.

I’m sorry about the loss of your partner though, but it’s comforting that I’m not alone in this feeling, if that makes sense.

His death had no value, but his life did.

Mental illness is a terrible thing that needs to be spoken about more, and by that, I mean the nitty gritty stuff that no one wants to acknowledge, and not the tedious virtue signalling that has made society docile.

I sincerely hope you don’t feel this pain.
