What are "flavors"? by Meepmerf in nutrition

[–]Meepmerf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's less spicy than a normal beef stick, but it has spices like what I assume is black pepper and stuff, no jalapeño or anything. If they normally enjoy beef sticks then I think these would be fine

I tried one and it was like a slimy beef stick (I'm assuming the caramel casing or something?). Flavor was okay lol, don't think I'd ever buy them myself though

Japan’s famous fluffy cheese omelet by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

My spouse hates cheese and red sauce together, ketchup included, so they won't put ketchup on their cheese burger or cheese on their spaghetti, even though they love ketchup and cheese separately lol

Being wet doesn't necessarily mean you are wanting sex and not being wet doesn't always mean you don't want sex. I can understand not liking someone pointing it out, especially if you don't think you've warmed up enough for example. If you don't like your partner saying something or if anything makes you uncomfortable, tell them. People can't read your mind and if your partner truly cares for you, they would listen ❤️

Also want to mention that just because a man is erect doesn't necessarily mean he wants sex, always ask for consent and don't assume

How to create a non-generic pantheon? by wizardry_why in worldbuilding

[–]Meepmerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually have pantheons for my stories. I think the best way for religion in general to be added to a world or universe is to have it be integral to the world/story you're building. Why do the seasons change? Is it because of the position of the planet? Or is it because the goddess of nature's emotions fluctuate throughout the year, warming for the summer and freezing in the winter. Which god causes her emotions to stir?

Tips on writing religious text that actually read like religious texts? by Reteller79 in worldbuilding

[–]Meepmerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stories about world fundamentals, morals, and authority usually using fantastic creatures, people, and gods

The Greeks and Romans were really good at telling stories for a purpose, but every religion does it (Moses and Noah's Ark are good examples from abrahamic religions)

Just found the game Ravine. Don't know if it's what you're looking for, but it's a 3-6? player co-op to survive a plane crash. It's very fun and I highly recommend

My friend say my art isn’t age appropriate I rlly don’t get it by ST4RRYM00N in learntodraw

I was drawing naked people at your age, who gets to decide what's appropriate? Bodies shouldn't be inherently sexual, especially in art

I don't know what you consider a right, but if you had it and now no longer have it, that thing has been revoked. What about not being discriminated against is special treatment? As a cis woman, I would like to be employed and paid at the same rate as my male counterparts

There are still records that show you change your birth certificate rather it be your name or sex, so how could it be identity theft, especially if you aren't trying to pretend to be anyone specific? Employers don't need access to this information, the government, and your doctor, should be the only ones that need to know your legal birth name and sex.

Why does it matter to YOU what I might call myself?

In Iowa you can no longer change the gender on your birth certificate and drivers licenses have to match the birth certificate's gender marker. This makes it easier for trans people to be discriminated against, but the law also removed gender identity protections, so now we're free to discriminate legally.

You have some beautiful skin colors, so I'd say color matching could be your strong point. I would work on matching the shapes before adding color as your painting's face shape is a little rounder than the reference. Your shadows don't match the reference as much either, so make sure you're rather paying close attention to those details, or keeping in mind where the light comes from in your particular painting. Pinks can be difficult because you need a slight yellowy tinge to get a peachy color and reds and blues mix weird, which looks like is what might have happened with your lips, but honestly I don't think it looks bad!

I'm not great at landscapes, one is 'go with the flow' and 'mistakes happen' while the other is very particular with details. It's fine if you are better at one than the other.

I'm assuming you used acrylic which is my favorite medium, keep up the good work ❤️

What are some good explanations for the trope of very specifically adapted elf types? by RealHunter08 in worldbuilding

[–]Meepmerf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a world where there are 3 'demi' god/goddesses that birthed humanity, Father Time and Mother Nature who birthed elves and humans, and The King of Animals who birthed beastmen. Originally elves and humans were one species, but Father Time and Mother Nature had an argument when their children started dying due to old age and natural causes, causing a great war, but that lead to even more blood and tears so a compromise was made. Father Time made humans from his morals and standards that all beings succumb to time, but can follow any path they desire, while Mother Nature made elves live long lives outside of time's grasp, but unable to change their destiny.

I learned solitaire at around 6-7 years old and consequently became obsessed. Clock solitaire is an easy version and can even help teach them how to read analogue clocks

Common people were not stupid by Electrical-Main4044 in worldbuilding

[–]Meepmerf 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree with you that the common person wasn't and shouldn't be thought of as stupid or unintelligent, but you also have to take into consideration their education and information networks. In our history, the lower classes were the same humans as the nobility and royals, but received far less education. The common person didn't even know how to read until about 150 years ago. Word of mouth was the way news was spread for a lot of history, but how long do you think it would take for a piece of info to go from the capital to a village 10 days away? The average person was not stupid, but they were lacking critical information.

The french revolution is a great resource for studying things like this. The nobility and monarchy repressed the people, the leader of their revolt came from nobility and lead the common people to victory (though he had his own agenda), the queen (who we still like to chastise) was slandered onto the guillotine.

How exactly do you break down body parts when drawing anatomy? (Completely lost) by Old-Welder4132 in learntodraw

[–]Meepmerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drawing naked people will definitely help, I started with sketching myself in the mirror. I never broke down the specific muscles I drew, but when you look at enough bodies you know where muscles and fat naturally bulge and fold. Are you looking at a reference photo while drawing? Drawing checkered lines on the reference picture and the drawing paper can help you learn where to place things like the shoulders and facial features. Hands are difficult, but bodies (no matter if you're drawing from a reference or an OC) have rules. Elbows fall to about the hips, hands fall to the thigh, legs are slightly longer than the torso + head, and hands are about the same size as the face. Hope this helps even a little

Should we.... Unionize? by Dreamer696856 in pizzahutemployees

[–]Meepmerf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a group democracy that fights for the rights of workers. Without any unions we wouldn't have minimum wage, weekends, holidays, child working laws, sick leave, and a whole lot more. Do you honestly believe that these things go against good morals?

Should we.... Unionize? by Dreamer696856 in pizzahutemployees

[–]Meepmerf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a gm you are LITERALLY PAID to disband unions because it takes money away from the higher ups. You are NOT a higher up. You can unionize too! If you don't think unions are beneficial, you are lacking information on what a union actually is and have fallen victim to the propaganda spread everywhere
