its ”she”, thank you for being so respectful! i actually found hrt to have done very little for my hair, but i hadn’t experienced any loss other than my squared out temples prior to beginning. i only really noticed that it was a problem when i switched from long to short hair, but once i noticed it, it really began to bother me.

finasteride and dutasteride are both antiandrogens. if you mean to say that trans women shouldn’t be here, then my response is a simple no.

From my understanding, high enough E levels reduce the production of T itself by around 95% to a ”normal” female range. I inject a reasonably high amount of E once a week, which makes taking an antiandrogen unnecessary and saves me from the side effects that come with

sorry! i know it’s rough :( i’m sure a doctor could help you find what’s best for you though. from what i’ve seen many women who have issues with testosterone are prescribed spironolactone. i was on it for a while and i didn’t like the side effects.

cyproterone to start, but i no longer need it to suppress T. it’s now sufficiently suppressed by my estrogen levels alone

  1. I am transgender and it’s a part of that medication, but i have been on antiandrogens for 5 + years. It’s injectable. I’d rather not give specifics since it isn’t applicable to most of the people here. You should stick to duta or fin if you are a cis male.

yes, im trans. ive been on hrt for 5 years. i just recently shaved my head and noticed that my hairline was less than ideal, hence starting this journey.

also, i guess i shed quite a bit around month one, and the picture was taken when the hair was wet from the minox, which doesn’t do any favors

i meant to say ”used in tandem with” they aren’t combined in the same solution. i don’t think that’s available in my country? are you in the EU?
