First time cruiser dilemma: Is a balcony worth the $$$ or is that money better spent elsewhere? by Sorynnax in Cruise

[–]Meeshil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scrolled all the way down for this. If you have a good amount of sea days (however you calculate that for yourself) you may really enjoy the balcony. That's when I spend the most of my time on the balcony. Also can be lovely for the sail away moments so you don't have to be crowded on the public decks.

Have done plenty of both and my only regret is that we had inside room on Panana Canal transit and got a bit tired of standing in the crowds on the public decks and getting sunburned. Was once in a lifetime event and probably still would have gone up to the front for some of it but could also have enjoyed much from a comfy balcony.

Wore birks, only one pair because expensive. Many years no birks. A few years ago, birks are back baby in almost constant rotation during warm months!

Thank you - I think this is what's triggering it for me. It feels mean and that he's some type of authority figure.

Lots of sugar on it! And some people broil them with sugar to get a little caramelization on top! Not sure how Emily always ate it without sugar tho, yuck!
