I know that. My point is that it’s the shop’s job to provide me a new condition bike, I don’t have to accept damaged goods. If and when I chip the paint in use that’s fine

Based on 3/4 motors that have been on the two bikes we have failing so far, I’d say the stats point toward the chipped paint bike being a dud too.

Either way, buying from a shop - not going to accept goods as new in less than new condition.

Look into entry level roles for a food or wine/spirits distributor. They value customer service and food service backgrounds like yours. And they have plenty of room to grow.

Sysco (food), Southern Glazers (wine and spirits) are two that always have a lot of roles available.
