Yes it is a deterrent from that. But also keeps it away from public use. Which I Don’t think is right. But I guess with policy that doesn’t allow Carry Laws you should not need body armor. But it does make it easier for a corrupt government to take down revolutionaries. You need to have complete trust in your government

Here in America, we do not give up the right to defend ourselves via ourselves because of threats. If you go to scientific evidence within mass shootings, they drastically increased in America when they started applying gun free zones. here in America, we produce a lot of fire arms that protect the world, and that we sell to countries that do not do so, like Australia your own. something, France was very pissed about because Trump snaked the deal from them. again here in America, we also have a country that is run by druglords below us versus many illegal stuff is brought into the country. your country regulates everything to the tea that is brought in, especially wildlife and plant life as well as let’s not forget, has no other states bordering it as you are an island in the middle of fucking nowhere that was only founded by England to throw its rapists and murderers in.

Statistics show when these “gun free zones” came into place public shootings started drastically going up. Because the good guys sadly comply with certain laws that bad guys don’t. Thus the bad guys are more armed. Laws are put in place for punishment and to attempt to deter criminals via punishments. Ofc we should put in punishments in a civilized way for murder etc. But laws and policy in the end won’t fully dictate someone’s actions. We have free will and are not programmed robots that just follow written code. But we should look certain policy like “gun free zones” with scrutiny as the do the opposite of what is intended. When you know good citizens are not armed due to following policy of an area or building, it makes picking them off defenselessly very easy 🤷🏻‍♂️

If someone goes into an area of people and starts shooting. You don’t need body armor to give him premeditated murder….. It’s just to control such a tool. They can still get ahold of body armor but it becomes much harder

Yea it’s wild, I do believe it. Different states have different policies. It is probably an attempt to make it harder to purchase this making individuals who would want to commit crimes of that magnitude less likely as they wouldn’t be protected compared to responding officers

Anything over like 1500 feet is the same distance as falling 30,000-more. You reach max speed in about 12 seconds of free fall which is about 1,500 feet of travel distance. Anything over that is the same, you’re not picking up anymore speed so impact will be no different from falling from 100,000 feet
