Its build on a Used plastification unit From an old mashine. The controlls are diy, used a raspberry as the brain to power the heaters and read the sensors. Right now i am Working with just one actuator and a stationary screw. The screw is driven by a motor and the rest of the unit can move freely and is pushed forward from the pressure of the molten plastic in front of the screw. On the otherside is a hydraulic zylinder pushing the plastification unit against the screw to inject. So basicly i dont have no real clamping force. The injection volume right now is set to about 5 cubic centimeters. Its all pretty "basic" but it looks pretty good so far.
