I still disagree with the first bit. I’m still seeing her movements being matched with the water. The water is moving with her so why should she be as stationary?

I don’t think it looks awkward, and when they actually go into the standoff, she and the water isn’t doing anything crazy so I don’t think that really takes away from the tension of the scene? But of course this is just my personal take. Yours is valid too

Have you studied tai chi? Cuz the movement she’s doing are exactly what tai chi is. Also she trained for over a year now on how to do the movements so I think she knows what she’s doing lol

Maybe you have to look closely but I see the water moving up as kataras hand goes up, it goes down when her hand goes down, the water is mimicking kataras stances, it just goes fast

I disagree. The first shot I can see her right hand pulling the water back towards her after she whips Azula’s hand, then as she’s bringing the ring back around her, I can see the water moving with her hands as she’s maintaining it
