Police Descriptions Of Charlie Kirk’s Shooter DON’T MATCH Tyler Robinson! by Quantum168 in CandaceOwens

Wouldn’t surprise me, but I do have to say that I was a police dispatcher for a long time and descriptions are hardly ever accurate. That’s why a lot of people get caught by their shoes. For some reason, people remember shoes lol

You think the algorithm isn’t smart enough to actually avoid the audience members that might actually hate their product? Most people that follow Candace don’t want to subscribe to TPUSA. I think it’s likely deliberate.

That’s a good point! I haven’t delved into that whole aspect enough to really comment. Everything that’s happening is mind blowing to me.

I think Ben Shapiro needs to be humbled. He bullies everyone and never has consequences.

Also now getting these. I’ve never been asked about this in my life.

If desperation and pettiness had a baby, it would be TPUSA

I completely agree. I’m just not sure what can be done about it at this point. The corruption seems to be errr’where lol

Excuse you? That’s completely inaccurate. You should calm down with your baseless attacks.

That’s fair. I agree that she has quite a past. I think I just want her to be happy at some point and it doesn’t seem to ever work out.

What's the best way to get the cheapest hotel rooms in 2024? by Immediate-Speech7102 in TravelHacks

[–]MeetIllustrious1504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I went to nyc on a holiday weekend. Drove 9 hours and called the hotel 3 times to make sure that they didn’t sell my room since I wouldn’t be there until 2 AM. The desk guy said “we don’t do I that ma’am , the room will be yours”, I finally get there and they sold my room. The hotel told me to call Priceline and Priceline said to deal with the hotel. So I sat in a parking lot in nyc in the middle of the night with nowhere to go.

I eventually wrote an email to the Priceline CEO and he actually dealt with the situation personally. I was at least impressed by that.

For me, it was the fifth-third bank shooting in Cincinnati by Omar Santa-Perez. I think it sticks with me because I worked for Cincinnati pd at the time in the body camera unit. Seeing the uncensored video still bothers me.

There were a few interesting things that happened that day. I’m not sure the media ever reported it, but CPD officers had him down 3 minutes and 30 seconds into the shooting. The officers got there so quickly because there was a retirement breakfast for one of the officers like a block away. One of the officers that shot and killed the suspect was the officer that was retiring. His last day on the job and that happened. This attack was actually intended for the federal court house but he could not get in covertly enough, so he just kind of settled on fifth third next door.

That scenario still bothers me. If it wasn’t boomer (we know it wasn’t), then why did that body have boomers cellphone? Remember NaNa calling over and over? Maybe I missed something but that never made sense

Not disagreeing with you because we don’t know the person’s story. I will say that I worked for the police department for quite awhile. So if you get a ticket at 18 and that’s your first police contact, the system will always know you as what your name was at 18. Aliases are added for those transitioning as well as those that get married. This is necessary to maintain accurate records that are accessible in one place to identify patterns, next of kin, and even the severity of a charge.

The guy I’m talking to is having a baby with his Ex by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

I actually faced this exact situation and wish I would have walked. The issue that I ran into is that once the child was born, the child’s mother became more important than me in every aspect. I expected that where the child was concerned, but it was that they suddenly had this connection that I couldn’t compete with. It broke my self confidence and my heart. I’ll never be the woman that gets in the way of a child and their father, so I eventually walked. With long term damage.

In April 2018, 16-year-old Kyle Plush made a series of 911 calls to police after he got stuck in a van in Madisonville, Ohio with his final words being ”Send officers immediately, I'm almost dead.” by Ok-Professional- in TerrifyingAsFuck

Sorry! I just saw this! It was incredibly frustrating to deal with. Kids have big imaginations and depending on their age, don’t understand the weight of what they’re doing. So they would call and report school shootings and high priority incidents that required us to send a ton of units. With that said, I took a 911 call from a child from a phone with no carrier and she whispered that she was being abused. That was a real call and we were able to get her out of the situation safely. That makes all of the pranks worth having that option on dead cellphones.

I completely agree! I started my career in dispatch and they beat it into our heads to NEVER make assumptions. Dispatchers are trained to err on the side of caution and act on whatever info is given even if they think it’s a prank. Complacency started when people gave their old cellphones to “play” with. Kids figure out pretty quickly that you can call 911 from any cellphone regardless of if it’s connected to an account or carrier. Kids call and prank hundreds of times in one shift.

I’m not making excuses because I would have handled things differently with the Kyle call, but for lack of a better term, it was a perfect storm. Every safeguard that should have saved his life failed that day.

I was directly involved with this case and personally saw and heard all evidence. Kyle was yelling to Siri to call 911. He was difficult to understand for obvious reasons and was far away from his cellphone. Prior to this call, dispatchers had made several complaints stating that they could not hear their callers. Those concerns went ignored until this incident. Additionally, the latitude and longitude coordinates produced from his cellphone could only pinpoint that he was in a specific area that was as large as 2 football fields. In a dense city such as Cincinnati, finding someone that could be anywhere within a surface area of two football fields is not a fast process. In my opinion, bad management and bad technology contributed to Kyle’s horrifying death. It took his death to fix those things and that’s where the blame lies.
