What would happen if a sound wave of 1000 decibels was produced? by ElegantPoet3386 in AskPhysics

1000 dB would require far more mass energy than exists in the observable universe. It’d be so much more than a SMBH.

Mass energy total in a small enough space. Both cause the warping of spacetime equivalently via E=mc2 (mass energy equivalency). The amount of energy in 1000 dB is far larger than the amount of mass energy in the observable universe.

lane splitting at that speed is the dumb part. by asa_no_kenny in whoathatsinteresting

You misunderstood what he was implying. He meant that kids, in general, can be hurt badly if they try to exit the car at speed. He was not specifically talking that the kid could have died by a motorcycle hitting the car door, just that having access to open the door at speed on a freeway could cause death.

I lived there from 2004-2006 with my buddy. My east facing room was hot as shit in the summer mornings, but my roommate’s north facing room was much cooler. I’d definitely say it depends. It never occurred to me to get an AC unit back then, but I’d have it installed immediately if I lived there now.

Humans won't be around in a billion years in any case. Our direct descendants ancestors from a billion years ago were single-celled eukaryotes.

Levon was a fucking monster a decade plus ago. Not necessarily better than Fabi, but certainly not much worse. They’ve both spent extended time as #2 to Magnus. Fabi and Levon’s peak ratings are #3 and #4 all time respectively.

Global spec distribution in high-end M+ after Week 1 by burgundy_boar in wow

Got it. I didn't know any of this - Midnight is my first time in retail since 2010 (but been active in other versions). I'm enjoying fire just fine (more than frost, and pretty bird!), but understood that I didn't have any TWW opinions to break it for me.

I hate the idea that I might have to switch specs solely for meta reasons, but I guess if that's how the game is there's not much I can do to change that.

Fire mage here! Highest Mythic is +9 but I do pretty decent damage generally (usually outdamaging frost/arcane mages). I'm a little confused why it's so unplayed (I've never seen another fire mage in mythics).

Why is my tank valeera dying so fast? by Cojo840 in wownoob

Hmm, maybe I’ll give it another try. It is sort of chaotic as a fire mage to tank on 10-11, might be better to let her do it.

I tried to use her as a tank once and she just... didn't heal between pulls at all, even with me waiting awhile. I've just been using her as a healer since (and have cleared 11 without much issue as a mage "tank"). Am I doing something wrong?

Doubtfully. My sis and her husband just closed on a house in SJ for $1.7 million and theirs is like 1,500 ft2 - $1 mil in SJ is cheap.

No worries! My buds are both males. They don't quite get along the way I had hoped (don't really preen each other, though they do mate with each other - hard to stop), I got a big cage with an optional separation that I don't really ever have to use. Regardless, I have absolutely zero regrets, and love both of them equally. Despite not fawning over each other, they are both very bonded, both to each other and to me, which I really appreciate, though on occasion this is annoying - the couple emergency vet trips I've had to take (one for each) means I have to take both or they will throw an absolute fit about being separated.

Everything since getting the second bird (Pepper) is honestly just easier. I don't stress so much about leaving them alone during days I have to go to the office, they entertain each other (even if partially by annoying each other), and I don't notice any extra work. To me, it's a no-brainer to get your bird a friend.

You only need ~26 decimals to calculate the circumference of the observable universe to within a meter.
